Jubilee ScholarshipsJubilee Scholarships provide for remission of up to 20% tuition fees for up to five years’ duration. Jubilee Scholarships are open to girls not currently attending Walford School and for entry at Years 5 to 12.

Boarding ScholarshipsBoarding Scholarships provide for remission of up to one half tuition fees. The duration of the award is dependent on the year level of entry. Boarding scholarships are open to girls not currently attending Walford School and for entry at Years 6 to 12.

Diocesan ScholarshipsDiocesan Scholarships are open to girls attending an Anglican school and are awarded to candidates entering the Middle School in Years 6 to 9. The two Diocesan Scholarships provide for remission of 25% tuition fees for up to five years on the recommendation of the Principal.

IB Diploma Program ScholarshipsThe IB Diploma Scholarships are open to girls both at Walford and entering Walford for Year 11 entry. The Scholarship will provide remission of 50% tuition fees for two years duration on the recommendation of the the Principal. Scholarships may be awarded on a shared basis.

Application ProcedureApplicants may apply for either or all of the above awards.

Criteria for selection include academic achievement, personal qualities and involvement in co-curricular activities. From the applications received, a short-list of candidates for interview will be established, and awards will be made following an interview of all those shortlisted. Candidates residing in remote areas may be interviewed by telephone.

Candidates should complete the accompanying Scholarship Application form and return it to the Director of Admissions, Walford Anglican School for Girls, PO Box 430, Unley 5061 by closing date (see over page).

Conditions of AwardsThe continuation each year of the scholarships awarded is subject to satisfactory conduct and satisfactory progress reports of the successful candidate.

The scholarship is awarded on the understanding that the successful candidate will complete her secondary education at Walford Anglican School for Girls.

Further InformationFinancial circumstances may be taken into consideration. Details should be provided in a sealed envelope marked “in confidence” and addressed to the Principal. This should accompany the application.

ResultsThe School will not enter into further discussion or dispute regarding the awarding of these scholarships. No report of any candidate’s results can be given by the school. All applicants will be advised in due course of the outcome of their application.
