SCHÜTZ F1 t ight-head drum – the new global p layer.

With the knowledge of the particular requirements on packaging systems of

companies operating at a global level and based on decades of experience in the

plastics processing industry, SCHÜTZ has developed a range of drums in the form

of the innovative F1 plastic tight-head drum, which optimally combines economic

performance and ecological sustainability.

Thanks to their low tare weight despite compliance with maximum safety standards,

combined with the very best handling features and ISO container-compliant

dimensions, they have proved their worth in millions of applications all over the

world since being launched onto the market. Their suitability for automatic filling

plants thereby opens up entirely new areas of application.

A global network of SCHÜTZ production sites, standardised product design

and highly-efficient production processes which are gentle on resources

ensure the international availability and world-wide deployability of the

new SCHÜTZ F1 tight-head drums.

SCHÜTZ proudly presents the newest generation of tight-head drums. In close

cooperation with Basell, SCHÜTZ has developed a new tight-head drum which is

distinguished by its outstanding overall performance characteristics. The primary

reason for this is the use of the new multimodal polyethylene Histif 5431 Z, which

is produced by Basell using the innovative Advanced Cascade Process Technology.

More performance with more advantages:

❚ -18°C drop test increased

(compared to conventional drums).

❚ Greater impact strength at low temperatures.

❚ Higher stress crack resistance.

❚ Increased chemical resistance.

❚ Significantly increased stacking stability.

❚ The high upper ring improves bung protection during transport and handling.

❚ Easy removal of residual contents (<100 ml) compliant with VPA 4 via either

filling opening.

drum has been tested and proven over and over in a host of applications.

a million times around the world: corrugated tight-head drums are ideally suited for

transport of liquid hazardous goods in UN packaging groups I, II and III.

❚ Cold-rolled thin sheet DC01Am compliant with DIN 10130.

❚ Welded shield, flattened welding seam at both fold and border areas.

Bottom and lid with triple safety seam. Two rolling or negative hoops, additional

reinforced hoops available on request.

❚ Processing of varying material thicknesses.

❚ Safety screw fittings G2 and G3/4, on opposite sides of top. Additional filling

hole NW230 (216.5 litres special) available.

❚ Inner surface protection: plain steel or lacquer-lined, prepared for the filling

goods by stability test; Exterior: coating in the colour of your choice, solid or
