SECTION 4: First aid measures
4.1. Description of first aid measures
In case of discomfort consult a doctor. Remove affected person from the danger area and lay down. Remove
contaminated, saturated clothing immediately.
General information
Provide fresh air. If breathing is irregular or stopped, administer artificial respiration. If unconscious place in
recovery position and seek medical advice.
After inhalation
Wash with plenty of soap and water. Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse.
After contact with skin
Rinse immediately carefully and thoroughly with eye-bath or water. In case of eye irritation consult an
ophthalmologist. In case of contact with eyes flush immediately with plenty of flowing water for 10 to 15
minutes holding eyelids apart and consult an ophthalmologist.
After contact with eyes
Observe risk of aspiration if vomiting occurs. Rinse mouth immediately and drink plenty of water. Induce
vomiting when the affected person is not unconscious. Medical treatment necessary. Do NOT induce
vomiting.
After ingestion
4.2. Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Harmful, Irritant effect, Headache, Dizziness, Drowsiness, Unconsciousness, drowsiness/fatigue, Disturbance
of the central nervous system., dry skin.
May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways.
May cause an allergic skin reaction.

Aspiration may cause pulmonary oedema and pneumonitis.
4.3. Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Treat symptomatically. If breathing is irregular or stopped, administer artificial respiration.
SECTION 5: Firefighting measures
5.1. Extinguishing media
Carbon dioxide (CO2), Foam, Extinguishing powder. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant
foam.
Suitable extinguishing media
High power water jet.
Unsuitable extinguishing media
5.2. Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Not readily flammable. Vapours can form explosive mixtures with air. Do not breathe gas/fumes/vapour/spray.
Heating causes rise in pressure with risk of bursting.
In case of fire, can be released: Hydrocarbons, Carbon monoxide, Carbon dioxide (CO2).
Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical protective clothing. Full protection suit.
Do not inhale explosion and combustion gases.
5.3. Advice for firefighters
Use water spray jet to protect personnel and to cool endangered containers. Collect contaminated fire
extinguishing water separately. Do not allow entering drains or surface water. Cool endangered containers
with water spray - risk of bursting.
Additional information
SECTION 6: Accidental release measures
6.1. Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Provide adequate ventilation. Remove all sources of ignition. Refrain from smoking! Wear breathing
apparatus if exposed to vapours/dusts/aerosols. Do not breathe gas/fumes/vapour/spray. Avoid contact with
skin, eyes and clothes. Use personal protection equipment.
Do not allow uncontrolled discharge of product into the environment. Danger of explosion If large quantities
are released, inform the competent authorities. Take up mechanically. Due to danger of explosion, prevent
leakage of vapours into cellars, flues and ditches.
6.2. Environmental precautions
Absorb with liquid-binding material (e.g. sand, diatomaceous earth, acid- or universal binding agents). Treat
the recovered material as prescribed in the section on waste disposal.
6.3. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Safe handling: see section 7
Personal protection equipment: see section 8
Disposal: see section 13
6.4. Reference to other sections
SECTION 7: Handling and storage
7.1. Precautions for safe handling
If handled uncovered, arrangements with local exhaust ventilation have to be used. Do not breathe
gas/fumes/vapour/spray. Ensure good room ventilation also on the floor level (vapors are heavier than air).
Do not breathe gas/vapour/aerosol. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Handle and open container with care.
Advice on safe handling
Only use the material in places where open light, fire and other flammable sources can be kept away. Take
precautionary measures against static discharges. Vapours can form explosive mixtures with air. Use
explosion-proof machinery, apparatus, ventilation facilities, tools etc.

7.2. Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Keep container tightly closed. Keep locked up. Keep in a cool place. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces,
sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking.
Suitable container/equipment material: Refined steel, Teflon.
Unsuitable container/equipment material: Butyl caoutchouc (butyl rubber), polystyrene.
Requirements for storage rooms and vessels
Do not store together with: Oxidising agent. Pyrophoric or self-heating substances. Strong acid, Alkali (lye).
Hints on joint storage
Protect from direct sunlight. Heating causes rise in pressure with risk of bursting.

Chemical resistant protective gloves (EN 374)
For permanent contact: NBR (Nitrile rubber) or FKM (fluoro rubber), Thickness of the glove material: =>
0,11mm, Breakthrough time => 480 min
At first signs of signs of wear, the protective gloves should be replaced.
When handling with chemical substances, protective gloves must be worn with the CE-label including the four
control digits. The quality of the protective gloves resistant to chemicals must be chosen as a function of the
specific working place concentration and quantity of hazardous substances. For special purposes, it is
recommended to check the resistance to chemicals of the protective gloves mentioned above together with
the supplier of these gloves.
Hand protection
Wear suitable protective clothing. Solvent resistant protective clothing.
