Personalized Elevator System

Access controlWith Schindler ID, the building is divided intozones with well-defined access restrictions. Thebuilding manager configures the access zones onsite by means of the Schindler ID software on acentral station. The access restrictions are definedby individual rights, authorizations, and require-ments.

Visitor controlVisitors may look up residents in a building on aninteractive touch screen. After that, telephonecontact can be established and access meansunlocked by the resident. An automatic car call isthen sent to the elevator system for transport tothe resident’s location.

PerformanceThanks to the capability of reading individual passenger requirements, optimal performance interms of traffic management and utilization ofthe elevator system is achieved.

IndividualizationThe Schindler ID terminal allows configuration ofindividual needs. These may include a passenger'sspace requirements related to freight and goods,such as beds in hospitals, service wagons inhotels, or shopping carts.

Individualized accessPassengers are identified by their identificationmedium or personal PIN code at a Schindler ID terminal in front of the elevator or anywhere close to it.

Schindler ID checks the passenger's access rightsand assigns a car (A, B, C,…) to the passenger. In doing so, Schindler ID takes account of the following criteria:• overall traffic capacity • individual traveling time• attributes such as space required, handicapped

passengers, traveling preferences.

The passenger walks directly to the assigned carand will be transported to the desired destinationwithout any need for further interaction.

the terminal assigns a car.

IdentificationPassenger attributes such as space required, handicapped passenger, traveling preferences, orprivileges (VIP) are stored on the identificationmedium. Various other identification media, such as PIN codes, keyrings, wrist watches, oreven combinations of these, may be used.

Visitor stationThe interactive touch screen helps visitors to findtheir destination. Users configure their tagsaccording to their personal preferences.
