Become A Recruiting Star

•Read “Be A Recruiting Star” by Mary Christensen

•Show that Scentsy is an inexpensive investment

•Make your “List of 100”, even if you’ve already done it! DO IT AGAIN!

•Offer incentives at parties (“if you sign up today…”)

•Business Builders has the door prize slips you can print out – USE THEM! They help you get tons of information from prospective recruits and new customers.

You Have To Get Creative

•Leave a catalog & free car candle with your tip at restaurants.

•Give the bank employees a free car candle when you cash your commission check – this helped Jacquelyn get tons of prospective customers, she said they were SO excited to see her when she came in!

•Write up a letter on cute scrapbook paper “Hi, my name is ____ and I live in your neighborhood! I’m so excited to share my business with you.” Explain what Scentsy is and why they need it! Attach free car candle, hang in bags on people’s doors in your area

•Spray catalog with room spray and then “fan yourself” at supermarket, in waiting rooms, in lines, etc.

Scentsy in Businesses

• Make up a really cute “door prize” box. Set it up next to a warmer with the door prize slips and leave at the “front desk” of businesses such as:

• Hair salons• Nail salons• Gym / fitness center• Tanning salons• Doctor’s office• Dentist’s office

• Offer to come change the wax once a week, for free, and if you get any new customers from it, let the business know they can keep the warmer for free. (Or give them a plug-in, free bar, etc).

•You get new prospective customers with all of the “entries” in your box!

•This works because they will want to know what Scentsy Success is – once they see all the great products that can help them start their new business, they will be so excited!

Biggest Recruiting Tips

•Never get caught without Scentsy products.

•Keep a catalog, sample, teazer, or car candle in your purse or vehicle at all times!

•Don’t be afraid to talk to people you don’t know!

•Mentor your recruits. Keep them active in your team. Enthusiasm goes a long way.

•Bottom line: Be honest & BE YOURSELF!

•Some people have better basket parties, rather than home parties, and vice versa.

•Find what works best for you!

Customer “Categories”•Family members (don’t forget aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, etc) & friends•Co-workers (previous/current)•Doctors, Dentists, Nurses•Hair stylist•Students•Children’s friend’s parents•Receptionists•Businesses (real estate, apartment complexes, medical or dental, hair/nail salons, tanning salons, business offices)

•Most importantly, remember: *EVERYONE IS A PROSPECT *•Don’t rule out anyone!

Don’t Forget to Recruit

• RECRUIT in addition to selling

•Focus on building your team!

•Put up fliers, or a display on your table that says “If you join my team in September, you will receive a free warmer and bar of your choice”

•You can change this up to tailor your needs, but the main idea is to offer an INCENTIVE!

Hosting Basket Parties

•Establishing relationships is the key

•Sell, don’t tell (Basket party people are more interested in the Scentsy products. Most of them don’t want to hear how the company got started, etc.)

•How can Scentsy make their life better? Tell them!

•Ask! You have to ask for hostesses in order to get them! Don’t be shy.

•You will get some people that say no. Don’t get discouraged!

Getting More Sales

•Freebies & Discounts! Don’t forget to remind people about the 10% SOTM and WOTM. You can also run your own “specials”, like, place a $50 order and get a free car candle, etc.

•Keep your customers updated! Enter all of their e-mail addresses into your newsletter manager. Inform them of the new Scent of the Month, new products, new scents, etc. Keep in touch!

•Treat your customers like royalty! People are more apt to reorder when they have been treated well – they will also give you more referrals

•ASK for referrals. Sometimes people will say no to hosting a party or joining your team. Don’t be afraid to ask “do you know anyone who would like to?”

Discontinued Testers

•Sell them for $2 each. Customers can place them upside down in the warmer (take the container off once wax melts down).

•Make samples! The scents ARE being discontinued, but it would be perfect to attach to your business cards or teazers!

•Give-aways, door prizes, goody bags, etc.
