Nobody is perfect.But this technology is.

DriveThe Schindler 3300 requires a small drive. It saves much more space compared to previous drives; it can be installed directly in the headroom and does not require a machine room, which results in anexceptionally low headroom height. The drive stops the car with precision. Car and landing line up very accurately to ensure that passengers get in and out safely. The drive is economical in energy consump-tion and causes minimum noise due to the materialof the traction belts – in the car and in the entirebuilding. Real comfort.

Traction beltsTraction belts consist of thin metal cables sheathedwith rubber or polyurethane. They replace conven-tional steel cables, weigh less, require less space,and run quieter. Thanks to the traction belts, thereis room for the drive directly in the elevator shaft – and providing room for a larger car.

ControlIn the Schindler 3300, the access to service thecompact control unit is built directly into the stan-dard doorframes at the top stop. It may be installedone floor lower upon request. This highly functionalsolution is a vital achievement. It simplifies elevator installation, provides practical handling and saves space.

DoorsDoors are equipped with a frequency-controlleddrive for fast and reliable operation. Telescopicsliding doors are available opening to the left or to the right.

CarTechnology does not take much space in theSchindler 3300. This is an obvious benefi t becauseyou get more freedom of movement due to a larger car. A striking advantage.

Previously: steel cablesSteel cables are relatively inelastic. They need atraction sheave diameter of at least 320 mm with thecable diameters required for elevators. The completeconventional motor including drive gears must belarge enough to match. A system that requires space.

New: traction beltsTraction belts are flexible. They use a much smaller traction pulley diameter than steel cables. 85 mm is enough, requiring a much smaller motor. A designthat saves space.

Stainless steel is impressive and so is the Esplanadeline. Two different types of stainless steel are avail-able: one is brushed, the other has a linen-like structure.Both are discreetly modern and unassuming. Theceiling is made of stainless steel and reflects slightly.The black granite floor deserves special attention.It contributes significantly to the overall high-quality look of the car.

KeypadsThe car operating panels are available with different keypads. The 10-button keypad has ten numbers,regardless of the number of floors. The conventionalkeypad, on the other hand, only has as many numbers as there are actual floors. The advantage of the10-button keypad is that the floor numbers are always in the same position – exactly like a telephone. Incontrast, the conventional arrangement is especially suitable for buildings with few floors. The glass panels back-printed in white give the elevators a contemporary,modern look.
