If TRIDENT wishes to use the information for any purpose other than evaluation of the proposal, or wishes to share the information with any other party, then it is required to obtain prior written consent of SB Technologies.     3 PROPOSED SOLUTION

    3.1 BUSINESS CASE

    Trident Pharmaceutical established in 1989, as a private limited, with its increased credibility and reputation, TRIDENT wants to ensure its information accessibility to the targeted audience at any time - 24/7/365. As part of this initiative Trident Pharmaceutical Pvt. Ltd. (TRIDENT) management wants SBTS to submit a proposal for the website development. The website should have elegant look and feel. The website should be ready at the earliest, preferably by end of November 2014. Trident management is committed in extending the required support for website content, photos and to give any required inputs. Below is the project scope at high level

    The proposed solution will be in PHP Word Press framework 4.0 with My SQL Server as backend. Website will be designed with a loosely coupled modular approach. This modular approach makes future upgrades or enhancements easy.

    3.6 PROPOSED SOLUTION - DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS

    SB Technologies has identified the following as critical success factors for the project and addressed the same in proposed solution.

    Website would be developed using PHP with Word press Template, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, and MySQL

    Menu Option: (1) Drop-down Menu - On mouse over, these menus open automatically (with no clicking

    required) expands, Sub-menu items are selectable.

    Size measures: 10 or less static pages; on an average 3 link per page; average 3 sections per page

    Photographs/images embedding into each page photos provided by Trident

    Graphic design, Server side scripting, CSS and XSL are in- scope

    Majority of the website development is in dynamic as the word press itself provides the provision for updating

    every page/post The Dynamic updates such as news, notice board, quick links, Product List will be done from

    administrator and any other authorized user

    3.7 IN-SCOPE

    The following depicts the scope of the website development project as per the current understanding and knowledge of SBTS

    1. An appealing Word press template for website design, shortlisted by Trident 2. Static pages with menu option with emphasize on vertical menu to enable future expansion 3. Provision for dynamic updates such as announcements, notifications, news, quick links etc. 4. Dynamic photo gallery with the provision of archives 5. Posting of Newsletters, periodic updates 6. Total around 10 pages, out of which all are dynamic pages, with the provision to update at any point of time 7. TRIDENT is expecting to have 5 tabs in main menu such as - Home, About Us, Products, Portfolio, Contact Us.

    3.8 OUT OF SCOPE

    Based on the current understanding and the preliminary gatherings at TRIDENT, SBTS understands the following are out of

    the scope of this project.

    Hardware, Networking and Non-IT implementation activities

    Any user specific training towards processes

    Software license procurement and maintenance

    Hardware procurement and maintenance required for this interface development

    Setup and maintenance of any other third party applications other than the interface application being

    developed as mentioned in the scope

    Database administration activities for the development database

    Other activities not mentioned explicitly in INSCOPE

    3.9 ASSUMPTIONS

    SBTechnologies (SBTS) has made following assumptions while coming up with this proposal:

    The required Logo, content/narration, and the images would be provided by TRIDENT for each page

    The required photos for gallery and site banner would be provided by TRIDENT

    The queries raised by SBTS will be answered in reasonable time period of 02 days

    TRIDENT would be arranging one SPOC (Single point of contact) for the entire development to communicate

    with SBTS

    SBTS will receive the agreed, approved and signed off high-level site development plan as the input to the

    project before project kickoff. Any deviation to the same will be treated through the change management

    process (keeping in view of the tight schedule)

    3.10 KEY DIFFERENTIATORS

    4 DEVELOPMENT APPROACH AND METHODOLOGY

    4.1 APPROACH

    SB Technologies proposes institutionalized development methodology consisting of the following phases:

    4.2 REQUIREMENT ANALYSIS

    This is the initial phase of the project. Requirements will be gathered from the documents provided by the clients and from the discussions and meetings with them. Based on SBTSs understanding of the requirements, a prototype will be built.

    4.3 APPLICATION AND ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN

    This phase starts with defining the design objectives for the proposed system. The components constituting the software system are identified, the system architecture is defined and the designs of the database and/or the file systems to be adopted are completed. Techniques such as data modeling, process modeling, object modeling and prototyping may be used for tasks such as identifying alternative designs and defining user interfaces.

    4.4 DEVELOPMENT BUILD AND UNIT TEST

    This phase will involve development / customization of each of the objects and entities identified in the design phase, and their testing against the test cases specified in corresponding unit test plan. This phase produces the source code, database, files and the documentation constituting the physical manifestation of the design. Unit testing will mostly consist of basic validation test for the customized program.

    4.5 SYSTEM INTEGRATION TEST

    In this phase, the integrated application interfaces will be checked and reviewed.

    4.6 UAT AND USER TRAINING

    During this phase, TRIDENT supported by SBTS, will carry out the acceptance testing of the converted application. The acceptance testing will be carried out with in stipulated time and on the basis of the test plans and test data prepared by TRIDENT.

    4.7 POST IMPLEMENTATION SUPPORT

    This phase will last for 15 days after solution deployment and Integration

    SBTS is quoting price of INR 21000 (Twenty One Thousand Rupees only) for the following:

    SBTS would like to take the engagement to the next level of partnering with TRIDENT on long term basis and have proposed a solution where we are optimizing the resources and delivery solution to provide effective and efficient IT Solution.

    6.2 ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA OF APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT

    The TRIDENT Website Development can be agreed to be success based on the below criteria: SBTS will create deliverables and get it reviewed by TRIDENT. If there are any questions regarding the deliverables, TRIDENT is expected to comeback with comments on the same within a period of 03 working days. All deliverables will be deemed accepted by TRIDENT upon successful closure of comments and defects. If there is no communication received, TRIDENT is deemed to accept the deliverables. For every deliverable TRIDENT would issue a letter of acceptance from the designated authority within. The existing document will form the basis of developing the application as defined in the scope, any changes or deviations would be taken as a separate change request with separate efforts and cost estimates.

    7 OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS

    o Validity of Proposal

    The proposal holds good for a period of 1 month from the date of submission. o Intellectual Property

    SBTS owns the intellectual property rights on software code, procedures and documents developed during project execution o Language for Communication

    English would be the official communication language and all the project deliverables will be documented in English. o Letter of Acceptance

    The project would kick start after the issuance of letter of acceptance of the proposal. o Lead Time for Project Kick Start

    The lead time will be 02 working days to commence the project after the issuance of the letter of acceptance of proposal. o Project Tracking

    Periodic review of deliverables and schedule, will take place in the presence of TRIDENT designate Managers and SBTS Manager. Any amendments will be mutually agreed. o Cost Escalation and Change Management

    SBTS will adhere to the schedule and by all means complete the delivery within time. If there are any incidents or issues that may cause slippage will be informed to TRIDENT with the reasons. In case of scope changes, or functionality enhancements which are not in scope or schedule delay due to TRIDENT challenges, there may be an escalation of charges which will be mutually agreed between TRIDENT and SBTS. A change can be termed as a deviation to the project scope, deliverables and milestones that affects the project Cost and Schedule. If there is any change in the scope or major deviations than what has been agreed in the scope, the person/authority requesting the change will provide a Change Request justifying the request for change. The scope change will discussed mutually in between TRIDENT and SBTS, arriving on go-ahead or not and there upon the adjustments in schedule and price, mutually agreed and incorporated as a modification to the original contract or will follow as an addendum to the original contract.
