Dublin Garden Fest Set For Saturday, May 22ndA “Garden Fest” in the heart of Dublin will be held
on Saturday, May 22nd from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Fest is sponsored by Friends of the Dublin Public Library, in cooperation with Dublin Historical Society, Dublin Community Center and Dublin Community Church.
Behind the Dublin Library, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., displays will include a vegetable and flower garden-ing book sale, the library Seed Project, plant experts highlighting native plants, Conservation Commission information, refreshments, and more. The Dublin His-torical Society will present local garden history and fiddle music by Randy Miller. Children’s activities will be held in front of Dublin Community Church.
Dublin Community Center will host a Community Lunch picnic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The menu will in-clude BBQ hot dogs, including a vegan option. There will also be an open house of the recently completed “North Room,” which will feature an art show with artwork from the private collections of Community Center board members and staff. All meals are free, but donations are welcome.
Additionally the DubHub will offer live music by local musicians in the Garden Sanctuary behind Dublin Community Church. Those wishing to stay
are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and sit socially distanced. The music schedule is: 11 a.m.,Volkert Volkersz, folk and classical; 11:20 a.m., Franz Haas, folk; 11:40 a.m., Lenny Solomon with Suzen Joyce Perry, originals; noon, Bruce & Paul Simpson, folk and blues; 12:20 p.m., Mike Keating, folk and pop; 12:40 p.m., Bill Plante, R&B keyboards and vocals.
Dublin Public Library is located at 1114 Main Street. Dublin Community Center is at 1123 Main Street and the Community Church is next door at 1125 Main. For more details, contact Rachael Lovett, director of Dublin Public Library, at 603-563-8658.
