Introduction

Back in the day, I used to observe my mother while she was knitting and crocheting a bunch of items. From fashionable home dcor to various types of clothing, name it and she could finish it in a day (or two). She made several kinds of garments including sweaters, socks, hat, scarves, and gloves. Needless to say, I had sweaters in every color that you could possibly think of and our house was beautified with crocheted items such as table cloths, rugs, blankets, coasters, and many more. My mother had fast hands and gallons of creativity. I have always looked up to my mother as she was a very talented woman. She used to paint and sculpt as well.

My mother was a stay-at-home mom for 7 years. During those years, she used her time to polish her skills in such crafts. Her friends and some of our relatives would order a bunch of crocheted and knitted items from her, especially during the holiday season. The orders were heaping during the last two months of every year. The income that my mother made in her knit and crochet business helped her pay the bills, allowed us to go on mini vacations every now and then, and gave us a sumptuous Christmas dinner every year!
