The Savoy chooses Loewe to provide guests with the ultimate entertainment experience.
Iconic hotel reopens with a fully integrated audio-visual offering.
Loewe Install
The Client The Savoy, a Fairmont Managed Hotel, reopened
its doors in October 2010 following an ambitious
restoration project that encompassed the entire
building from the iconic entrance to the
guestrooms and suites.
As part of the refurbishment, The Savoy turned to
Loewe, Europe’s leading premium manufacturer
of LCD TV’s, to complete the first-class guest
experience and bring their audio-visual offering in
line with the luxury bedding, toiletries and stylish
furnishings already being given special attention.
This newest renovation has seen The Savoy’s
interiors adopt a stunning Edwardian and Art
Deco theme thanks to world-renowned designer,
Pierre Yves Rochon. In keeping with this classic and
refined style, over 300 Loewe televisions have been
fitted by independent electrical retailer and installer
Peter Tyson, throughout the hotel, to ensure the
refurbishment stands the test of time and as a sign
of The Savoy’s commitment to quality.
Project Overview Loewe Connect televisions in a mix of 32”, 37” and
42” screen sizes were installed in each bedroom
as part of the refurbishment. In addition to LAN
Internet connectivity, the integrated Mediaplayer
provides local MP3 music playback via a side
mounted USB port. Digital photos and videos can
also be viewed, so that guests can relive their
holiday memories in full HD almost as soon as
they’ve captured them.
Beneath its award-winning exterior, all Connect
models permit easy access to numerous
multimedia functions meaning that guests are able
to stay connected and enjoy all the multimedia
comforts of home throughout their stay.
The hotel also chose Loewe Individual Selection
40” LCD televisions in Aluminium Black, boasting
impressive style options for an arresting appearance.
For an added touch of personalisation, the
Individual range can be customized with
interchangeable side inlays, which is perfect for
completing the sleek, stylish effect in each room.
With this simple touch, hotel owners can match
inlays with the room‘s interior, or enjoy the flexibility
to give rooms a subtle uplift in the future.
Client Feedback “We are very aware of the place that The Savoy
holds in many people’s affections”, comments
Kiaran MacDonald, General Manager, The Savoy.
“Our guests have come to expect the best and
subsequently this is exactly what we expect from
our suppliers. We are delighted to have Loewe
on-board as our audiovisual partner of choice
for the LCD TV’s in the guestrooms and suites
at The Savoy.”
