The Savo 15 DG collector is characte-rised by a direct flow aluminium ab-sorber, which is manufactured fromMPE profiles.This technology is adopted from theautomotive industry, where it has do-minated heat exchanger designs thepast 30 years, and has now been op-timised for solar heating by Savosolar.

The absorber is coated with a highlyselective PVD MEMO coating (patentpending) and the use of MPE profilesminimises the average distance bet-ween the coated surface and the heattransfer fluid. This leads to a uniform temperaturedistribution where conductive heatlosses are minimised.

Just as modern cars and aircraft areassembled with glue, Savosolar as-sembles its collectors by gluing thegalvanised steel frames, molded cor-ner pieces and anti-reflective solarglass together. In combination with a protectivemembrane in the venting elements,this minimises condensation or dustcontamination.

The Savo 15 DG collector is testedand Solar Keymark certified accordingto ISO 9806:2013 by SPF in Switzer-land.

Integrated connectionsSavosolar’s large area collector for district heating andindustrial installations has integrated connectionhoses within the collector which allows mountingwith no more than 40 mm distance between collector(patent pending).

This technology reduces heat loss since the connec-tion hoses are protected by the collector’s insulation.
