Spring is almost here! In West Texas, that seems to mean very windy days and at least one more cold front! It also means that some of our folks are hopefully getting over being sick. Please know we pray for you regularly and you are missed! As Spring arrives, so does the plans for summer. Before you know it, we will be doing VBS, GA Camp, RA Camp, and Youth Camp. All of these events are designed for kids and students to get to know Christ more. We need your help to make it happen! We need volunteers to teach, organize, and chaperone these events so our kids can go and enjoy their time!! If you can help, please let the office know ASAP. It’s a great opportunity to influence and encourage one another and see God do great things! As always, continue to look for ways to bless and influence your OIKOS. If you get a chance to get away Spring Break, we hope you have an amazing and restful time away. But we also pray you can be the salt and light of Christ as you go!! See you on Sunday mornings as we study and worship together in the name of Christ! ~ Chris ~

March is here! It is hard to believe that we are half way through the semester. I want to thank everyone that helped out with our cake ball fundraiser. We raised over $1800 for camp! Some of our kids are completely paid for while others made enough to make their deposits. Thank you for investing in our students.
This month we are talking about relationships on Wednesday nights. We are continuing our study on how to be a bad friend. After that we will be going over how to share Christ with our friends. Sundays look the same this month as we continue Crazy Love and our study in Revelation.
Be sure to ask our students about their studies. They would love the chance to teach you
what they learn. Better yet, they would love to have some adults studying with them. I am looking for people to partner with me in discipling our students. As of right now I have two other volunteers that help us out regularly. I need people who can help me with our Sunday activities as well as our Wednesday night ministry. I may ask you to teach from time to time, but I am mainly looking for people to pour into our students. If you are interested in getting to know and disciple our students, let me know. I would love to partner with you.
Continue to pray for our students as they go through school. Pray that they will have the
boldness to share their faith not only in word but also through their actions. If you haven’t yet, I encourage you to take some time and ask a student how their day is going and pray for them. Thank you again for all of your continued support.
In Christ’s Love, Bryson Wallace
Last month I used this space to put out a probe to test the interest in a Handbell Choir and an Easter Choir. I received mixed results, for now I have decided that this is not the time for a handbell activity. Response for an Easter Choir was more robust but with the proviso that we avoid a prolonged rehearsal schedule. With that in mind I want to propose that we get together beginning Sunday March 31st to prepare 2 or 3 songs from a new cantata that we can present on Easter Sunday, April 21st. That gives us 3 rehearsals to prepare special music that will leave Pastor Chris free to bring an Easter Sunday message. Let me know if you are in, and I'll get you the needed materials. On a related note, the Green family will be making a pilgrimage to Illinois on March 17th to check in with kids and grandkids, and so Pastor Chris has arranged for music that Sunday to be provided by his friend (???) who has an inspirational and compelling testimony to share. Please make plans to be a part of that service if possible. I'm looking forward to hearing the recording. Blessings to you all! Jim
