Save Crowe’s Nest Farm

Situation

Now, that there is a drought we do not have a enough water to give to the animals and plants.

Producers

Grass needs

Water Air Love Oxygen Sun Since there is a drought, there is no

water. If its too hot, the grass could get dried

and the ground could get cracked.

What corn needs

Water Soil Sun Air Since there is a drought, there is no

water. If it is too hot, then the water could dry

and evaporate.

Consumers

Corn snake needs

Water Small mammals We have a drought, so we don’t have

water. If we don’t have water than we wont

have small mammals

Pony needs

1. Water2. Grass3. Hay4. There is a drought so there is no water.5. If there is no water, then we won’t

have enough grass.

Red tailed hawk needs

Water 4-5 oz. of meat Mouse, squirrel, armadillo, etc. Since we have a drought, there is no

water. If there’s no water we will have fewer

animals.

Donkey needs

A. WaterB. Hay/strawC. GrassD. There is no waterE. If we have no water we won’t have

enough hay and straw.

Our Plan

We will make wells so animals and plants can have enough water to drink. Its better if people water the garden at 10:00p.m., but a little bit at a time (use a sprinkler instead of a hose). We will water at night because its not sunny at night and the water won’t evaporate, and a sprinkler is better because it spreads around and doesn’t take that much time.

How Our Plan Will Work

It will work because it conserves water and it will make the animals and plants survive so we won’t have a drought.

Vocabulary Words

Drought- drought means that the water has been dried up.

Producer- a biotic (living thing) that can make its own food. These organisms are green because of chlorophyll.

Consumer- an organism that gets its food from (eating) other living things, in order to have enough energy to survive or reproduce.
