A letter from the New Lisbon Schools Superintendent, Dennis Birr!
VISION 20/20
So many things have been pushed on schools in the last couple of years, but I don't want us to simply react to what we are asked to do by others. I would like us to also set our own course for where we want the School District of New Lisbon to be by 2020. What do we want for our current 5th graders, the class of 2020? Perfect vision is 20/20, so Vision 20/20 is how I will be referring to these conversations. I have met with school staff to begin this conversation. Over the next few months I would like to have similar conversations with other district stakeholders such as students, school board and community. I hope many of you will come with your knowledge of New Lisbon, our students and an awareness of the challenges that will face our students in the future and ideas of how we might be able to prepare them for that future. We are a small school district but our students have big dreams! We can help them achieve those dreams.
The Friends of the New Lisbon Memorial Library will be hosting "BE WINE VALENTINE" Fundraiser. The affair will be held at the Burr Oak Winery in New Lisbon, on Saturday, February 9th, from 4 - 7 p.m.. The cost of the tickets are $40.00/couple and $25.00/single. Advanced tickets are available at: Royal Bank- New Lisbon, Raabe's Drug - New Lisbon, New Lisbon Memorial Library, Phillips Drug - Mauston, and from Bridget Christenson at the Hatch Public Library. Mile Bluff Clinic, LLP announces integration into Mile Bluff Medical Center, Inc.
Clinics in Mauston, New Lisbon will fully operate under Mile Bluff Medical Center as of January 1
In keeping with its mission, Mile Bluff Medical Center, Inc. is joining forces with Mile Bluff Clinic, LLP to enhance the partnership between the two. As of January 1, 2013, both organizations are doing business as Mile Bluff Medical Center, Inc. As the integration moves forward, you, our patients, continue to be of utmost importance. Prior to 2013, the clinics in Mauston and New Lisbon were owned by a group of Mile Bluff physicians. They will now be owned and operated as a part of the non-profit organization, Mile Bluff Medical Center. With the change in ownership, a number of adjustments will take place. Most will be internal, and all will be with the benefit of our patients in mind. The most noticeable improvement for patients will be found in the continuity of care that is coordinated between the clinics and the medical center. While operating as separate entities, the process worked well; and by combining to operate as one, the organization has the ability to further improve its flow of care. From an outside perspective, most things will stay the same, including: medical staff members, facility locations, the appointment process and insurance plans that are accepted at Mile Bluff. One initial change you may notice is that although Mile Bluff Clinic in Mauston will keep its name, the New Lisbon Clinic will be known as New Lisbon Family Medical Center. We thank you for your patience and support during this transition period as we make the necessary behind-the-scenes adjustments. Rest assured that even with the changes taking place, you will continue to receive the exceptional care you’ve come to expect from our organization. Mile Bluff remains committed to providing compassionate and progressive care, improving the health and wellness of the community and going beyond expectations in healthcare today and always. We are still here for you, and we look forward to what this integration will do to improve the service we provide to you!

Bunker Water Jet is working in their 10th
year in business and is in the process of
expanding their capabilities by adding a
second, larger capacity Abrasive Water Jet
Cutting System. The expansion required
increased floor space and they are in the
process of operating out of the larger
building in the final stages of completion,
