“On behalf of our SHIFTm2M partners, I’m pleased to invite you to join us for the 2020 Movement Building Leaders’ Israel Study Tour.” - Bill Hodgson Saturday 16th May to Friday 29th May 2020 I’ve been privileged to visit Israel on many different study tours over the years. These trips have made a huge impact on my personal faith journey and movement building thinking. I am looking forward to taking key leaders from the SHIFTm2M movement on this life changing experience to be immersed in the movement of Jesus at “point of origin”. This tour is custom built for leaders focusing on movement building principles from the life of Jesus. It is is specifically designed to focus on movement leadership. Israel has been called the Fifth Gospel because God revealed Himself to mankind in this geographical location. The impact of the Incarnation has flowed through history for the last 2,000+ years, and the places where God was humanly revealed remain available for us to visit today. Walking the terrain of the Holy Land and visiting the locations where events in the life of Christ took place will give you greater understanding and clarity about the Good News message of the four Gospels. This study tour will focus on a chronological view of Christ’s life and ministry. We will spend time in Bethlehem and Nazareth learning about His early years. We will visit the wilderness to understand His ministry foundations. We’ll spend four nights in the Galilee region discovering Jesus’ ministry training and outreach priorities. Jerusalem will be home for eight nights as we trace the sites associated with the teaching and passion of Christ. Along the way we’ll visit other famous sites like Masada, the Dead Sea, En Gedi, and Jericho. At each location we will have a licensed guide provide the biblical and historical setting for the site. Then we will teach from the Word about the life of Christ and what we can learn about His model and methods of disciplemaking. Imagine standing in the places you’ve studied about in the Bible and focusing on the life of Christ! I guarantee you will never read the Bible or think and teach about movement building in the same way again. Bill Hodgson | Power to Change SAVE THE DATES Details to be Confirmed

Saturday 16th May to Friday 29th May 2020

I’ve been privileged to visit Israel on many different study tours over the years.

Safety in Israel

Who is this tour for?

Some of the initial selection criteria are:• SHIFTm2M participants past and present.• Key strategic thinking leaders.• Multipliers - people committed to making disciples and multiplying

disciplemakers.• Those developing other leaders to whom they can pass on the training and

experience.

We are aware that news coverage frequently portrays Israel as a dangerous place to visit. The Australian government issues travel advisories for Israel. In our experience, such news and advisories seldom match the scene we witness once in the country. Events are very localized, and just as you are careful in certain areas in your own city, we are careful in certain areas in Israel.

If problems do flare up, our guide is in constant contact with local authorities and makes adjustments to the itinerary to keep us from areas of potential trouble. We have visited Israel many times over many years and have never had any safety issues.

Accommodation & value

We are staying at tourist-class facilities to keep costs low. These are not full service hotels with lots of amenities, but they are clean, safe, have great food and a prime location. We have previously stayed at each hotel we will use.

Our hotel in Jerusalem is inside the Old City walls and just steps from shops and sites. Location, location, location! In Galilee we will stay right on the water’s edge with a nice beach. There are not many single rooms so we suggest double occupancy if at all possible. If you need a roommate we will do our best to put you with someone else on our tour, but we can’t guarantee a roommate. If no roommate can be found, you will be charged the single price.

We believe this tour will be great value! We will have 13 nights and 12 days of touring in Israel. Most other trips are 8-10 days in length, and when they advertise their days they usually count the 3 travel days coming to and from Australia. You will see and learn much more than on most other tours.

Study tour costsThe tour cost includes:

• 13 nights’ lodging.• Deluxe coach transportation throughout the country.• Daily breakfast and dinner.• All entrance fees.• The services of a professional guide and driver, along

with tips for drivers, guide, and hotel staff.

The tour cost does NOT include:• International airfare.• Travel insurance (required).• Shuttle or taxi from the Tel Aviv airport up to Jerusalem

and back.• Noon lunches, snacks, beverages at meals, souvenirs,

and items of a personal nature. These costs are paid directly from participants to vendors. Plan on $250-300 USD for everything else except for souvenirs.

FlightsEveryone will be responsible to arrange and pay for his or her own airline flights. This will allow individuals to arrive early, stay late, or head off in another direction at the conclusion of our tour. This also allows people the opportunity to use frequent flyer miles if they have them. There is only one international airport in Israel and that is located near Tel Aviv.

You can arrive any time you desire on Saturday 16th May 2020 since all we will do on Saturday is get everyone checked in and ready for the start of the tour on Sunday early morning. You can join us for dinner in the hotel dining room if you arrive in Jerusalem before 7pm.

Your return flight home can depart Tel Aviv late evening (there are some flights right before or after midnight) on Thursday 28th May, or anytime on Friday 29th May 2020.
