Satellite-Based Damage Assessment for Town of Myebon, Myebon Township Summary of main findings: A total of 657 destroyed and severely damaged buildings were identified within the village of Myebon in Myebon Township, likely caused by arson attacks occurring before 3 November 2012. All damages are spatially concentrated within a well-defined zone of near total destruction measuring 23.8 hectares (ha) in area, located on the western side of town. There are no indications of building damages outside of this zone. Following the probable arson attacks, two campsites were erected for internally displaced people (IDP) by the destruction of their homes. The first camp site is composed of 165 tent shelters (approximately 256 square meters in area), located on building ruins within the zone of destruction, and the second is composed of 35 similar tent shelters located on an open field to the north, outside of the destruction zone. Satellite-Based Damage Assessment for Town of Myebon, Myebon Township

Summary of main findings: A total of 657 destroyed and

severely damaged buildings were identified within the village

of Myebon in Myebon Township, likely caused by arson attacks

occurring before 3 November 2012. All damages are spatially

concentrated within a well-defined zone of near total

destruction measuring 23.8 hectares (ha) in area, located on

the western side of town. There are no indications of building

damages outside of this zone. Following the probable arson

attacks, two campsites were erected for internally displaced
