Introduction
• SARAS is an initiative by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government
of India to provide a platform to the rural Producers /Artisans to market
their products through Exhibitions.
• Since 1999, SARAS exhibitions have been a regular annual event. DRDA
was doing it since its inception. Since 2013-14, JEEViKA is organizing it in
Bihar.
• This will be the 5th consecutive year when Team JEEViKA will organize it on
its own.
• In Saras 2016,Participation from 17 states.
