This is a great, low-key, low- pressure opportunity for

current show team members to refine their skills, as

well as those wanting to "try" a show for the first time.

    IMPORTANT COMMUNICATION REQUEST

Many of us understandably find it most convenient totell Betsy in passing at lessons or in conversation that

wed like our children to participate in an event or

program or discuss missing or changing a lessonday/time.

However, it is difficult for Betsy to be able to

remember and document each of these conversations

throughout her day while she is in the middle oftraining. Sarabande now has close to 50 students, and

we dont ever want a student to be left out of an

    opportunity due to a miscommunication.

So, if you do not do so already, please make it a

priority to sign up in the suggested manner for eachevent and/or email [email protected] so

that we have an administrative record of your request. This will help keep Sarabande running smoothly and

efficiently. We greatly appreciate your help &

    understanding in this matter!

    SUMMER LESSONS

Starting June 1, all weekday lessons will begin after

5:00pm due to the heat & summer camp schedule.

Since many of you will also want to change lessondays/times to accommodate your own summer

    schedules, please email [email protected]

with your preferred lesson day/time (even if it is notchanging) to begin June 1. We will do all we can to

    accommodate your request.

    Sarabande Policy Updates

    Effective 5/1/09

    BILLING

Sarabande monthly invoices will be sent out via email

(with a printed copy in your sign-in book folder) on

the 30th of each month. Payment is due on the 1st. Latefees of 10% of your total bill will begin accruing the

15th of the month if a balance remains.

This billing policy will be enforced. Please help us inunderstanding that prompt payment of your bill is

very important to the business of keeping Sarabande

    running smoothly. Thank you!

    SHOW/EVENT/CAMP DEPOSITS

Each time we have a sign-up for a show, camp or

other Sarabande event, there is a deposit or paid

fee attached to it that is supposed to be paidBEFORE the event. In the past, we have been lax

about collecting this ahead of time, however we

cant afford to continue this flexibility. Without pre-paid deposits, we must front the money to fund pre-

paying for show or event fees, transportation fees,

etc. that are required for us to participate.

Please understand that this sometimes puts Betsyseveral months behind in recouping that money

due to our billing cycles. This is not wise for any

business. So, from this point forward, yourreservation for an event will not be complete

without a deposit check. Note that any show/event

fees that are accrued in addition to the deposit willbe added to your next monthly bill.

    SARABANDE SIGN-IN BOOK

We have created a simple, effective new system tokeep better track of who is in & out of the barn & make

our administrative life at Sarabande much easier.

Starting today, May 1, 2009, EVERY STUDENT will be

required to sign in when they arrive at the barn for alesson, event, team, saddle club or any other reason

in our SIGN-IN BOOK. Every Sarabande student hastheir own sign-in sheet & folder, so simply look foryour name & sign in under the appropriate category.

Your monthly bills & any other communication we

need to get to you will be placed in your folder, soplease make a habit of checking it regularly.

A HUGE thank you to Michelle Christiano, one of ourSarabande moms, for creating this notebook for us.

Note: The next time you are at the barn, please check

that your contact info is correct on the index card

located in your folder so we can make sure our

    records are up-to-date.
