Our door systems with unobstructed view enable visual communication. Their unctional

solutions let in more daylight and improve the eeling o well-being. Good view o the

surroundings improve the point o view o saety. Unobstructed view and correct lighting result

in the eeling o security. By introducing our integrated access control systems we are taking

another step towards a saer environment.

Sapa Building Systems made o aluminiummake

it possible to minimise the maintenance requirements

and provide reliable unctions, which is appreciated

by both the property owners and the tenants. The

systems oer several design alternatives and are

suitable or most unctions and architectural solutions.

We have doors or all rooms.

Advantages o aluminium. We have selected a

number o aluminium ttings which suit the whole

concept.We present most o the solutions with clear anodised

door leas since this surace nish does ull justice to

aluminium and ensures good resistance against wear.

A contrasting surace nish/colour combination o

door lea and rame can oten accentuate the door

and result in a clarity o the architectural design.

These issues are naturally unique or each project.

Our pictures should be regarded as a source o

inspiration and ideas.

A well-thought out door system is characterised

by a wide area o application and a possibility to be

used in many unctions.

Our door solutions are suitable or oces, hospitals,

schools and universities, dwelling houses, industrial

acilities, public buildings, exhibition halls, arenas

and shopping centres.

Free design



Design your entrances, partitions, windows and

açades using our compatible systems. Entrance

elements can be easily enhanced by adding our

prole or access control/entry phone and electronic

unctions. The wiring and xing elements are

hidden under a strong prole and a service cover.

The service cover o the prole acilitates installation,

service and maintenance, and protects the electronic

circuits against damage.

Sapa Door Systems

System presentation

Our door systems are based on a long tradition and

experience.

We have three door systems based on three dierent

prole depth values: 0, 0 and mm.

All our proles can be surace nished by anodising (clear

or Hardoxal colours) or powder coating (NCS-S and RAL).

The 0 insulated prole system and the 00 uninsu-

lated prole system are identical on the outside so that

they can ensure a uniorm appearance in rooms with both

inside and outside doors.

The 00 uninsulated prole system is our strongest

system or large loads. The design diers rom that o the

0 system through a bevel in the glass rebate.

The 0 and 00 systems can also be used or

automatic sliding doors and olding doors.

This door system is based on uninsulated aluminium

proles with a profle depth o 60 mm. The system

has replaceable rebate proles and the outside glazing

bead is integrated in the door profle. The range contains

door proles or both narrow and modular section locks,

as well as an anti-nger trap. The doors can be easily

combined with our açade systems 10, 00 SG

and 0.

The 00 system is recommended or buildings wi th

heavy person trac.

with or without side and top light.

• Anti-burglar protection.Up to class , according to

also provided with symmetrically installed glazing units with

three dierent glazing bead designs. The range contains

door proles or both narrow and modular section locks, as

well as an anti-nger trap. The doors can be easily com-

bined with our glazed wall and partition system 00.

The 00 system is recommended or inside solutions.

sliding doors with or without side and top light.

heat insulation requirements.

connectors are some examples o the most common

components o modern entrance doors.

Our rame prole acilitates wiring as well as the installa-

tion and service o the electronic components. The service

cover is screwed on through a hidden xture, which ensures

clean appearance and prevents damage.

Doors with automatic opening systemAutomatic opening systems are preerred rom the point o

view o good accessibility or the disabled. Accessibil ity is

also improved and trac is smoother in busy entrances.

An air-lock solution is oten necessary to ensure good

comort. In many cases, channelled trac with separated

entry and exit is to be preerred.

Our 2050 sliding doors are based on a stable solution

with a possibility o several dierent add-on unctions.

Our telescopic sliding doors are suitable or narrow

spaces where a large clear dimension is required.

Our hinge type doors can be equipped with automatic

opening devices. 00, 00 and 0 door systems.

• Well-planned system solution with optimised prolesmaking it possible to install automatic systems rom

dierent suppliers.

• Stable system suitable or use in very requented

entrances as well as or passage with shopping trolleys,

prams, etc.

• Anti-fnger solutions. Our sliding door solutions are

When building health care acilities, Sapa Building Systems

provide a number o advantages which make it possible to

obtain unctional solutions with a good design. Glazed elements

are used both inside and outside. Fire rated doors and glazed

elements or use in, or example, day-rooms, restaurants, caete-

rias and corridors are available up to class EI 0. Escape routes

are equipped with fttings according to SS-EN 11 or SS-EN 19.

Daylight is important or a good working environment. In deep

buildings roo lanterns and glazed roos with opening shutters

are oten a good way o catching light. The shutters are then

also used or smoke evacuation. With Sapa’s external solar

protection it is easier to control the incoming heat radiation.

Sapa’s solutions or entrances and escape routes have

been developed so that they can withstand large loads and

heavy person trac. Unobstructed view through doors and

glazed elements is important or communication, comort and

saety. Doors and glazed elements meet re resistance require-

ments up to class EI 0. Sapa’s entrance elements can be easily

equipped with access control systems and electronic devices.

The Sapa door system is suitable or all kinds o spaces in

health care acilities. This includes everything rom corridors,

staircases, oces, storerooms and kitchens to wetrooms and

toilets. The doors can be upgraded to include anti-burglar

solutions without the need to change the design.

Hospitals and health care acilities

When health care acilities are planned, it is important to think about the whole concept. The archi-

tect’s task is to create an environment where the personnel eels comortable and the patients eel

better. The solutions must work together in order to ensure good communication with short walking

distances and clear sign-posting in a pleasant environment with modern and ecient equipment.

In order to improve the accessibility with dynamic communication, the solutions used in entrances,

staircases, lits and junctions must be prioritised. Access control systems that are easy to handle

and at the same time ensure adequate protection o the personnel and the patients are an important

unction which must be integrated in the total solution.

Construction o shopping centres is one o the project types

or which Sapa Building Systems are very well suited. The wide

choice o decorative profles in the açade system provides

many alternative combinations o unctionality and appearance.

The Add decorative prole is used in açade solutions or solar

protection, sign-posting and lighting.

Sapa’s solutions or entrances and escape routes have been

developed so that they can withstand large loads and heavy

person trac. Doors and glazed elements meet re resist-

ance requirements up to class EI 0. Display windows, shop

entrances, large sliding elements and olding walls ensure good

oces, staircases, corridors, storerooms and kitchens to wet-

rooms and toilets. The doors can be upgraded to include anti-

burglar solutions without the need to change the design.

The glazed roo system is a good solution or squares and

arcades as ar as comort and smoke ventilation is concerned.

passers-by on the covered squares and walking streets.

halls and shopsMore and more shopping is done by households outside the town centres. New shopping

centres are built where the customers can easily park their cars and nd a great number oshops at the same place. Everything is gathered under one roo and the shopping trip can

be combined with a visit at a restaurant or a caé. Shopping arcades with large display

windows along the internal walking streets create a centre o its own, a town in the town.

Car showrooms are open all round the clock thanks to their glazed açades. Exciting lighting

and challenging architectural design attract people’s attention in the townscape.

Flats in apartment blocks have become a popular orm o living among people o all ages. The

layout solutions are more and more similar to those used in detached houses and new unctions

are included in the apartments. Advanced technical solutions are much used in the houses, suchas digital communication systems between the fat and the entrance or booking o laundry-room,

sending inormation to and rom the administrator as well as access control. Saety and service have

become an important part o housing.

Arenas shall unction as a meeting place in many dierent situa-

tions, such as indoor sports events, working out, concerts, music

shows, conerences and airs. Swimming baths are popular meet-

ing places as well with keep-t activities, swimming competitions,

adventure bath, relax, spa and gym. Caés, sport bars, restaurants

and shops are the usual complements to modern acilities.

The main entrance has oten the orm o a large glazed açade that

welcomes the visitors. Glazed açades breathe also lie and motion

to the town’s new squares.

Sapa’s solutions or entrances and escape routes have been

developed so that they can withstand heavy trac and large loads.

Door systems with strong, unctional entrances and durable

inside doors are suitable or the world o school. Glazed doors

ensure a better view and are oten the best choice in school

environment.

Glazed elements are used both inside and outside. Fire

rated doors and glazed elements or use in, or example,

classrooms, libraries and corridors are available up to class

EI 0. Escape routes are equipped with ttings according to

EN 11 or EN 19.

Daylight is important or a good working environment. In deep

buildings roo lanterns and glazed roos with opening shutters

are oten a good way o catching light. The shutters are then

also used or smoke evacuation. With Sapa’s external solarprotection it is easier to control the incoming heat radiation.
