The SAP Fiori Configuration Cockpit (FCC) is a centralconfiguration tool to create and maintain the SAP Fiorilaunchpad sites in the cloud.

With the FCC administrators can easily manage thelaunchpad settings and edit content such as apps, roles,groups and catalogs.

The configuration cockpit provides out of the box servicesfor SAP Fiori launchpad sites like translation, theming andtransport management.

Entities and relations

Apps and Tiles - Representation of SAPUI5 and backendapplications like SAP GUI or Web Dynpro ABAP.

Catalogs - Collections of apps, assigned to roles

Groups - Collection of tiles and links representing appsthat are displayed in the launchpad, assigned to roles.

Roles – Technical and business roles: technical rolescreated in SAP Cloud Platform Portal role repository andassigned to users; business roles are technical rolesassigned to the launchpad content (catalogs, groups)

Intent - Unique combination of a semantic object(e.g. purchase order), an action (e.g. display), and anoptional set of navigation parameters.

Dashboard

DashboardProvides a holistic view on thelaunchpad sites, with key KPIsreflecting the launchpad contentand configuration status and a‘health’ check.

The dash board comes withseveral number tiles, to quicklyoverview the status of apps,catalogs, groups, roles and usedthemes.

Clicking tiles, icons and screenelements will navigate the user torelated areas.


Launchpad Site Settings

SettingsLaunchpad management, andruntime properties, for example:

Perform actions on thelaunchpad level, such as ‘clearHTML5 application cache’,activation site etc.


Apps and Tiles – Manage apps,SAP Fiori (HTML5) or backendsystems (SAP GUI, Web DynproABAP etc.) and configure itsproperties

Catalogs – Manage and configurecatalogs, an authorization objectsthat bundle apps and assigned toroles

Groups - Subset of apps, displayedas tiles / links in the launchpad

Roles – Create and manage rolesthrough FCC based on SAP CloudPlatform Portal roles, allowassignment to catalogs and groups

Translations – Manage translationsfor the launchpad. Easy steps:download master language,translate, upload back to launchpad.UI theme designer – Create yourown custom theme to adjust visualappearance of launchpad and apps.Theme Manager - Manage andassign custom themes tolaunchpad.Transport Manager – Transportcontent packages betweenSAP Cloud Platform accounts usingexport and import functions.Web Assistance – Use for inlineand guided user assistance anddocumentation.

The FCC provides a set of useful tools around the configuration work. Under „Service & Tools“ the admins can manage translations for FLP sites,create own customized themes, assign custom themes to apps and transport content by using import and export functions.

Usage Analytics

The Usage Analytics service displays adashboard with key KPIs / statisticsrelated to usage of your launchpad site:

Examples for site level KPIs:

• Visits/visitors - Measures web trafficby hour, day, week, or month, duringa selected period of time. Thenumber of visits indicates the totalnumber of sessions, whereas thenumber of visitors indicates uniquelogged in users.

• Device Types - displays the devicetypes from which the site wasaccessed.

Example for app level KPIs:

• Average Visit Duration (sec) -Displays the average length of a visitper application in seconds
