Cleopatra was born in Alexandria, in January, 69 BC; and she died in August, 30 BC. She was queen of Egypt.

Cleopatra VII was member of the Ptolemaic dynasty. Cleopatra originally ruled jointly with her father Ptolemy XII Auletes, and later with her brothers, Ptolemy XIII and Ptolemy XIV, but eventually she became sole ruler.

The conflicts soon erupted between the two brothers which led to the overthrow of Cleopatra.
