IT MATTERS...
An old man was strollingalong the beach when he saw
a young boy picking upobjects & throwing them into
the water. "What are youdoing?" the old man asked."These starfish have been
washed ashore & if they donot get back into the water,
they'll die," replied theboy.
Seeing that there werethousands of starfish lyingstranded, the man said,"You'll never be able to
save all of these starfish.
So, what does it matter?"
The boy looked down at thestarfish he was holding inhis hand & said, "Well, sir,it matters to this one."
PolioPlus tells a similar
story. It's easy to becomeoverwhelmed by the size ofthe undertaking. But to eachchild that would have other
wise gone through the misery& pain of polio, IT MATTERS.
