LANA DEL REY

The new two-track single “Video Games” from New York local Lana Del Rey (aka Elizabeth Grant) is short and sweet.

And thank God for that.

Her voice is amazing, husky, sexy, and has great depth. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for her songwriting.

While the music itself is unique and inventive, and there are some great samples and beats used throughout “Blue

Jeans,” the eternally overdone lyrical story line of a woman being jilted by a man is enough to bore you to tears. No

matter how beautifully heartfelt you sing it, everyone gets dumped at some stage or another, so let’s move on.

The emotional climax that is “Video Games” does not stray much further. The crooning chorus of “It’s you, it’s you,

it’s all for you” almost mirrors the other track’s chorus of “I will love you till the end of time,” and once again, Del

Rey seems to base her entire existence on whether or not a man wants her, needs her, can’t do without her. The only

thing that truly inspires on this track is the amazing string section backing her up.

There is great passion; there is great heart. But here’s hoping Del Rey can come up with some more creative, less

depressing tunes once she decides to look past the subject of love as a crux for her songwriting. I’m sure this will

come with time, and in the end what we will end up with is a great songstress. Fingers crossed…

GEORGE CRAIG

George Craig (born 11 July 1990) is a model and the frontman of

the indie North Yorkshire band One Night Only. Craig has modeled for Burberry,

after Christopher Bailey discovered his band and liked their song Just For Tonight.

As the vocalist of his band, he also plays the guitar as he insisted on doing so

much like the lead singers in most other bands. His brother, James Craig, is also

the drummer of the band.

JOSH BEECH

Josh Beech, is a singer/song-writer born and bread in South East London, a city that would eventually influence his attitude as well as his

art. His first big musical endeavor was as front man/singer with the rock/punk band Snish, a London crowd favourite who received many

accolades in the music industry, including a review from Fly magazine, which called the band the "2008's next big thing". Levi's

included Snish in their concert series "Ones To Watch," while Josh became the face of their prestigious 501 Jeans campaign

internationally. That campaign marked the start of a new career move for the singer, who soon found himself in front of the cameras on a

regular basis. But it was thanks to his prowess in front of the microphone, and the way it translated into his attitude, that both the music

and fashion industries came calling. Josh recorded "Burnt Out," his first four-track solo acoustic EP, in late summer of 2010, which had

over to 2000 downloads during his first European tour in December throughout Italy, France, Germany and UK. During the summer 2010,

because of his background in rock music, Josh was selected as the face of the newest, Tommy Hilfiger fragrance, LOUD, alongside The

Thing Things and Daisy Lowe. Josh Beech then decided to make his touring band full time and blend them in the second project: Josh

Beech & The Johns. Band members are John Turnham (former member of Snish) on drums and John Martinelli (From Grace, Hello Mexico)

on bass and mandolin. They boys are currently promoting the second Ep "She" which was recorded in the space of a week thanks to

Josh's prolific vein and professional attitude and the help of a solid rhythm section supplied by the two Johns. When asked by the

mediaabout the new release Josh said, "My sound isn't getting any heavier, it's just getting fuller. It's a progression, similar to what goes

on in my liveshows. I wanted these melodies to have legs". The trio has just returned from their successful U.S. tour which included gigs

at the prestigious South By Southwest tradeshow in Texas as well as a "mini Marathon" of 9 gigs in 8 days around Austin, and gigs in

Florida.
