Having received a great training and exposure from her time working at a high-end European textile company as well as working with several skilled interior designers Summer Thornton has gained invaluable experience and honed her skills She has also since opened her own firm and considers herself a personal stylist of homes

Her designs are a mix of rough and polished classic and irreverent traditional and modern elements Her designs combine vintage antique and custom pieces creating a look she calls ldquocultured irreverencerdquo

How did you decide you wanted to become an interior designer

Irsquove always loved homes I can remember when I was a toddler picking out wallpapers with my mom As I grew older I knew I wanted to help people feel differently in their environments so interior design was a perfect tldquo rdquo

I get to help reect their personality and tastes by taking their soul and putting it on the walls and the furniture and every little detail in their home rdquo
