Livestock Management Information

Responsible Association:

Sang Lake Grazing Association (privatized April 1, 1997)

Looks after livestock and maintains the developed pastures in good, productive condition.

Maintains all fence lines, dugouts, corrals and the buildings at the headquarters site.

Grazing Season: Mid-May to late-October

Cattle: Approximately 5,700 Animal Unit Months (AUMs)

Minimum number of Patrons: 11 patrons

Application: Please contact 780 514-3417 for grazing allotment application. Application deadline is January 31

st.

Within the reserve, there are 3,747 acres (1,516.4 hectares) that have been developed into tame pasture and is fenced out. Some vantage points on this reserve provide spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains which are located approximately 50 miles southwest of the reserve. Many streams cross the property as well.
