Sandy’s parents immigrated from Poland after WW1 and had no education. They both worked and Sandy with no nursery school or
kindergarten was a slow starter but then learned to read and at age 10 was a finalist for the radio program, “Quiz Down” in Miami, Florida.

High School Final Report Card, 1954How could MIT admit a straight B student! He was distracted by electronics,
cars, girls, and troublesome friends. However, note he did get an A, one quarter, in military!
