Meet Hurricane Sandy Heroes, October 2012

We came to know some facts about the hurricane out of the project workCurrently we are taking part in an

international project moderated by Barry Kramer, a New Jerseyan 5th grade teacher in Franklin Township Board of Education. He appeared to be in the eye of the hurricane

It was from Barry that we have got some personal news about the hurricane, and, hence, acquired a kind of personal interest in the events.

Most likely I was spared the worst of it

We fared fairly well through the storm….  because my house is on a hill and was sheltered from the worst of the winds…. Many trees fell and almost everyone lost power and services …Since my house is safe and has power and phone access, I have been housing family here while they wait for their homes to get power (Barry)

Keelen are credited with saving a dad and dozens of neighbors in Brick when Hurricane Sandy struck New Jersey.

Mother Nature did its worst, but human nature brought its best.

Katie Cataldo, a New Jersey National Guard staff sergeant, helped rescue residents from flooded sections of Moonachie and Little Falls after Hurricane Sandy hit.

Since Hurricane Sandy hit our neighborhood Troop 4 decided to take action, we put out the Aword that we where here to help. It was amazing how much response we received from our group.
