Sandip Polytechnic organized First Year's Parent Teacher Meet on 21st August,2018

(Tuesday). The meeting started with welcome of parents and introduction of the

program by Prof.S.S.Mann. It was followed by Saraswati Pooja. Thereafter, Head of

the departments of all branches spoke about the scope of their respective fields. Under

principal's address, Prof. Prashant Patil guided the parents about their role and

responsibilities towards their ward and also briefed them about scholarship facility.

First Year's HOD address was given by Prof.A.D.More who spoke about the rules and

regulations of the institute. Academic Co-ordinator Prof.N.D.Patil highlighted the

extracurricular activities of the college. Then, subject teachers of Physics, Chemistry,

Mathematics and English gave subject related information to the parents. The meeting

ended with vote of thanks.

FIRST YEAR PARENTS MEET

Independence Day Celebrations (15th August,2018) took place in Sandip Foundation

with great fervour and enthusiasm. The program started with Flag Hoisting

Ceremony by the hands of Vice Chancellor of Sandip University Dr.N.Ramachandran

followed by patriotic speech by him. The students performed various cultural

activities viz.speech,dance,song etc. Foreign students, enrolled in S.U also took part

in celebrations giving tribute to our motherland. The program was anchored

efficiently by First Year Diploma students turning it into a great success.

Review of Program: In the expert talk Mr. Satish Maniyar introduced with the

importance of CAD, CAM and CAE. He also explained the tools to be used in

AutoCAD and 3D printing along with the importance of geometric dimensions and

tolerance calculations. In this session students learnt different tools used in AutoCAD

and importance of the subject matter. They also came to know about job opportunities

after the completion of design software courses.

Review of the Visit: In this industrial visit students observed the layout of Sanjit

Moulds and Sanjit Instruments Pvt. Ltd. Student observed injection moulds for

Thermoplastics, Bakelite, compression and transfer moulds for Bakelite. Students also

observed the press components, plastic parts and product assemblies along with the

machines like CNC wire cut EDM, SIP jig boring machines, injection moulding and

ultrasonic welding machines.

Industrial Visit to “Thermal Power Plant Ekalahre”:

Review of the Visit: In this industrial visit students observed the process of

generating electricity in thermal power plant. For the generation of electricity right

from the availability of coal to the step up and distribution of electricity this complete

process has been observed by student. Students also studied the working of thermal

devices such as boilers, its mountings and accessories, cooling towers, heat

exchangers etc.
