At the Sandcastles Fair some sandcastles

are big.

And some

sandcastles

are small.

Page 3: Sandcastle Fair by Gail M Gates

Some sandcastles are short.

Then you’ll see some sandcastles are tall.

Page 4: Sandcastle Fair by Gail M Gates

And some are very, very, tall!

But then they all fall and fall.

Page 5: Sandcastle Fair by Gail M Gates

This sandcastle

is not a castle

at all.

It’s a dragon

by the sea

with a baby

called Paul.

Page 6: Sandcastle Fair by Gail M Gates

Some can be simple.

And some are not.

Page 7: Sandcastle Fair by Gail M Gates

Some have

got noses

that burn very hot!

Some have got

blue and red lights,

can you see?

Page 8: Sandcastle Fair by Gail M Gates

Look at this.

Look at this!

Is it a tree?

I think it’s a tree

made of sand!

Could it be?

Page 9: Sandcastle Fair by Gail M Gates

Look at this!Look at this now!

It’s not a sandcastle it’s a sandcastle cow.

Is there sandcastle milk from the sandcastle cow?

Is there sandcastle ice cream? Would you eat it right now?

Some sandcastles can bite! And sting like a bee!But if you ask me. . .

Page 11: Sandcastle Fair by Gail M Gates

At night

I might

show you

a sandcastle

so grand. . .

Like a great big sandcastle

the shape of a hand.

Page 12: Sandcastle Fair by Gail M Gates

But good sandcastles need

many good things.

Many may need

a moat and a parrot,

The parrot’s for me.

And a boat that will float

with a goat

if he’ll share it.

So come to the beach.

Bring a bucket and shovel,

and a duck if it fits

in a box without trouble.

Bring a sandwich for lunch and

a shiny red apple

for the sandcastle

pig we will dig for a raffle.

Page 14: Sandcastle Fair by Gail M Gates

Come bring a friend.

Bring two! Bring three!

To the Sandcastle Fair,

see you there,

by the sea.
