Safe Kids Committee
Do you speak a second language? Join the Community Outreach Committee! We educate the community about how to stay safe
during disasters such as earthquakes and fires in local health fairs. Come to our next meeting on
September 21st from 10-11 am. Here is the application:

Community Outreach Committee
Are you interested in teaching about disaster preparedness, safety, and basic first aid to younger
children? Contact [email protected] to sign up to become an instructor. The training is October 6 from
9am - 12pm at the Red Cross San Jose Chapter. You can gain leadership and communication skills through this opportunity. There is also an opportunity to become
part of the SafeKids Committee. For more information about the committee, contact [email protected]
International CommitteeThe International Committee has already held its first
meeting. However, it is not too late to join! The next meeting will take place on September 22nd from 3:00-4:00pm at the Silicon Valley Chapter. This committee
raises awareness about worldwide events/fundraises for international causes, and helps refugees adapt to their
lives in the United States.During the next meeting, we will be brainstorming and
discussing possible events for the year, such as the Refugee Stimulation, Raid Cross, Refugee Soccer

awareness and educating the public about how to prepare and respond to natural disasters, such as fires,
earthquakes and floods. We organize events like the Disaster Simulation and work with other committees for
events like Kits for Kids. We meet every other Tuesday, 7pm at Beija Flora
