Upon arrival, we'll check into our hotel and accommodations for the duration of the tour, The Holiday Inn Express. This hotel is perfectly located in Fisherman's Wharf—San Francisco's most famous waterfront community. A leisurely afternoon allows time to explore this historic area on your own, where you'll find a wide range of restaurants, famous attractions, unique shops, entertainment and breathtaking scenery. Rejoin the group later to enjoy a delightful welcome dinner at a seafood restaurant on Fisherman's Wharf. DAY 2 MONDAY, AUGUST 22, 2016 SAN FRANCISCO (BD) Enjoy a full breakfast at the hotel and then it's off to see the sights of the city! We'll see Union Square, Nob Hill and the Painted Ladies, as well as the Golden Gate Bridge, the Oakland Bay Bridge, Chinatown, and so much more. Don't miss an opportunity to ride the Cable Cars—an icon of San Francisco, and explore the city before we depart on our evening Dinner Cruise. As we enjoy a delicious four-course dinner from the comfort of our luxury yacht, we'll glide by the legendary landmarks of San Francisco. As the sun sets and the city lights come up, be sure to head out to the middle of the deck for a spin on the dance floor. Keep your eyes open to the sights around you, as we'll be privy to breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Coit Tower, and the TransAmerica pyramid. DAY 3 TUESDAY, AUGUST 23, 2016 NAPA VALLEY AREA (BL) Enjoy breakfast this morning before we board the coach and make our way to Sonoma and Napa Valley. Our journey there will take us through the heart of some of the most beautiful vineyards in the region. Napa and Sonoma are world-famous for their fine wine and stunning scenery. We'll tour a few of the area's wineries and enjoy tastings, as well as, shopping in the region. A memorable adventure awaits with a visit to the dazzling Castello di Amorosa Winery and Castle. Located near Calistoga, this is the pet project of 4th generation vintner, Dario Sattui, who has spent over 30 million dollars building the medieval replica castle on the vineyard grounds. We'll have a tour of the castle, followed by a tasting reception and a very special lunch together. We'll toast to a magnificent day and after savoring the splendors of California's wine country, we'll depart for our relaxing drive back to the city and enjoy dinner on our own. DAY 4 WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 24, 2016 MUIR WOODS AND SAUSALITO AREA (BL) Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before departing on today's adventures. We'll begin by crossing the impressive Golden Gate Bridge and then traversing the rugged coastal mountains of Marin County. We'll enjoy magnificent views of San Francisco Bay and fabulous coastal landscapes on our drive to Muir Woods National Monument. Here, we'll have the opportunity to roam through an ancient forest of giant redwood trees—among the oldest and tallest on earth. Next, it's off to the northern shores of San Francisco Bay, home of the charming bayside city of Sausalito. We'll stroll along the waterfront, shop, or take photos in this picturesque artists' colony, dotted with quaint shops, art galleries, and waterfront restaurants. This evening is at your leisure to explore San Francisco's delights on your own. There's no shortage of dining options that are sure to satisfy any culinary cravings! DAY 5 THURSDAY, AUGUST 25, 2016 MONTEREY AND CARMEL (BD) Following breakfast this morning, we'll travel the scenic Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) 1 to the beautiful Monterey Peninsula, famous for its spectacular ocean views, abundant wildlife, and historical past. Along the way, we'll stop at Cannery Row, made famous by writer, John Steinbeck. Next, we'll navigate the famous 17-Mile Drive. This coast-hugging route will pass massive mansions and scenic attractions, as well as the illustrious Pebble Beach Golf Course. Be sure to have your camera ready for this gorgeous drive! We'll continue on, to Carmel-by-the-Sea, known for its natural scenery and rich artistic history. Enjoy a stroll through this charming town, adorned with lovely shops and beautiful architecture. This evening, we'll join together and savor an enchanting farewell dinner. DAY 6 FRIDAY, AUGUST 26, 2016 HOME (B) Following breakfast this morning, we'll begin our journey home. San Francisco
