MATCH PREVIEW San Antonio and Minnesota have a heated history that includes intense playoff games, players suiting up for both teams, and on-fi eld shenanigans. This year the two teams that set the pace for the rest of the league in 2014 are fi ghting to move back up the table as each is sitting on four points in the Fall Season, placing them four points behind leaders FC Edmonton. Omar Cummings continues to lead both the Scorpions and the NASL in scoring while United have former Scorpion Pablo Campos on top of their goals scored list.
OUT Abdul-Salaam - Recalled by Sporting KC Julius James- Broken leg (out for season)
SERIES HISTORY The Scorpions and United played to a 2-2 draw earlier this year in Blaine, MN. That put the all-time series between the two at 3-6-5 in favor of the Loons while in San Antonio, the red and black have a 1-2-4 mark against their northern I-35 neighbors.
QUOTABLE “Minnesota is a very good team, one of the best teams in this league. They have a great coach, and they have got some great individual talent as well.”
- Scorpions Head Coach Alen Marcina
