Pennies for Patients
Pennies for Patients
Samuel Everitt Elementary will be participating in Pennies for Patients
starting on Tuesday, February 3rd through Friday, February 20th. The
proceeds will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help fight
childhood blood cancers. The class that collects the most money will
win a pizza party or ice cream party, their choice. We will take any type
of donations not just pennies. If you wish to donate by check please
make the check payable to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. If
you have any questions please feel free to contact Mrs. Sophy. Thank

games that our students will be
performing are volleyball, floor
ping pong, and tennis. The net
games unit is a part of the sports and games strategies unit which includes
territorial games, net games, and base running games.
Our primary grades will be participating in throwing skill activities while using
the nets to continue to develop their skills.
HOW ABOUT THOSE SNEAKERS? The inclement weather is upon us. It’s
important to dress your child for the weather. Please pack sneakers for your
children when Physical Education class is scheduled. Being prepared for class is
considered when determining grades.
Speaking of grades… students will be given grades for the first half of the school
year. I am happy to note that the grades were well deserved.
We would like to take a moment to thank everyone who came out to Jammin' in January! I think it is safe to say everyone had a great time! We had close to 170 people come through our doors to dance the night away! Thank you so much to all the volunteers. Without you, this night would not have been successful!
Our next PTO meeting is on February 9th at 7:00pm. All parents and guardians are welcome to join.
Valentine's Day is right around the corner. We will be offering Valentine Grams. Be on the lookout for a flyer that will be sent home. Valentine Grams will be given on Friday, February 13th.
Our school store dates will be Tuesday, February 10th and Tuesday, February 24th.
Our next big event will be Basket Bingo on Friday, March 6th. We are still looking for donations of baskets, items to add to baskets we create, or small gift cards. Be sure to save the date. This is one family fun night you don't want to miss! Some of the amazing prizes we have already are:
