Step1—RearCase

Thefollowingfourstepscanbeaccomplishedwithoutaplasticopeningtool.However,it'srecommendedtouseatooltobestavoidbreakinganyclipsalongtheperimeteroftherearcase.

Insertaplasticopeningtoolorfingernailintothenotchinthegapbetweentherearcaseandtherestofthephone,locatedatthetopofthedevice.

Gentlytwisttheopeningtooltodisconnecttheclipssecuringthetopoftherearcase.

Step2

Slidetheplasticopeningtoolleftalongthetopedgeandrepeatthetwistingmotiontowidenthegapbetweentherearcaseandthephone.

Step3

Continuetomovetheplasticopeningtoolaroundtheperimeterofthetopleftcorner,gentlypryingupalongtherearcase.

Step4

Pryalongthetoprightside,andcontinuepryingdowntherightsideoftherearcase.

Step5

Liftupandremovetherearcasefromthephone.

Youmayneedtopeelthecaseuptoseparateitfromanyclipsstillholdingittothebottomofthephone.

Step6—Battery

Thisstepcanbeaccomplishedwithouttheneedofaplasticopeningtool.Justuseyourfingerifyouwantto.

Wedgeaplasticopeningtoolintothesmallnotchabovethebattery.

Prythebatteryupoutofitsrecess.

Step7

Removethebattery.

Step8—SIMCard

Usingyourfingernail,pushtheSIMcardslightlydeeperintoitsslot,untilyouhearaclick.

Aftertheclick,releasethecardanditwillpopoutofitsslot.

Forreassembly,pushtheSIMcardintotheslotuntilitclicksinplace.

Step9

UseyourthumbtoslideenoughoftheSIMcardoutofitsslottograbaholdofit.

GraspandremovetheSIMcardawayfromthephone.

Step10—microSDCard

Usingyourfingernail,pushthemicroSDcardslightlydeeperintoitsslot,untilyouhearaclick.

Aftertheclick,releasethecardanditwillpopoutofitsslot.

Forreassembly,pushthemicroSDcardintotheslotuntilitclicksinplace.

Step11

UseyourthumbtoslidethemicroSDcardoutoftheslot.

RemovethemicroSDcardfromthephone.

Step12—PlasticMidframe

Removetheten4.0mmPhillipsscrewssecuringthemidframetothefrontpanelassembly.

Step13

Grasptheleftsideoftheplasticmidframewithyourthumbandforefingerandliftitawayfromthephone.

Themidframelightlysnapsinplace,andcanberemovedwithverylittleforce.

Step14—HeadphoneJack/SpeakerAssembly

Useaplasticopeningtooltoprytherear-facingcameraconnectorupfromitssocketonthemotherboard.

Makesureyouarepryingontheconnectorandnotthesocket,oryoumaydamagethemotherboard.

Step15

Insertaplasticopeningtooloutboardofthespeakerportionoftheheadphonejack/speakerassembly.

Gentlyprytheheadphonejack/speakerassemblyupfromthefrontassembly.

Step16

Lifttheheadphonejack/speakerassemblyoutoftheGalaxySIII.

Step17—MotherboardAssembly

Useaplasticopeningtooltoprythefront-facingcameraconnectorfromitssocketonthemotherboard.

Donottrytoremovethefront-facingcamerajustyet.Itscableisstillroutedbeneaththemotherboardassemblytotheambientlightsensor.

Step18

Disconnectthedigitizercablebygentlypryingitsconnectorupfromitssocketonthemotherboard.

Step19

Disconnectthedisplaydatacablefromthemotherboard.

Step20

PrytheWi-Fiantennacableconnectorupfromitssocketonthemotherboard.

Gentlymovethecableoutofthewayofthemotherboard.

Step21

Removethesingle3.0mmPhillipsscrewsecuringthemotherboardtothefrontpanelassembly.

Step22

Carefullyliftthebottomofthemotherboardassemblyawayfromthefrontpanelassembly.

Removethemotherboardassemblyfromthefrontpanelassembly,mindinganycablesthatmaysnagonit.

Step23—Front-FacingCamera

Removethesingle2.0mmPhillipsscrewsecuringthefront-facingcamerabrackettothefrontpanel.

Step24

Useapairoftweezerstoliftthefront-facingcamera/ambientlightsensor/rearmicrophoneassemblyoutfromitssocketinthefrontpanelassembly.

Step25—FrontPanelAssembly

Peeltheantennacableupfromitschannelinthefrontpanelassembly.

Donotcompletelyremovetheantennacable,itisstillconnectedtotheantennaboard.

Step26

Wedgethetipofaspudgerunderneaththeearpiecespeakerandprytheearpiecespeakeroutofitsrecessinthefrontpanelassembly.

Step27

Usetheflatedgeofaspudgertopeelthetopportionoftheearpiece/volumebuttons/ambientlightsensorribboncablefromthefrontpanelassembly.

Step28

Carefullywedgetheflatedgeofaspudgerunderneaththeambientlightsensor.

Continuepeelingtheearpiece/volumebuttons/ambientlightsensorribboncableupoffthefrontpanelassembly.

Step29

Inserttheflatedgeofaspudgerunderneaththeearpiece/volumebuttons/ambientlightsensorribboncableconnector.

Gentlyrunthespudgeracrosstocontinuepeelingthetheearpiece/volumebuttons/ambientlightsensorribboncablefromthefrontpanelassembly.

Step30

Insertaplasticopeningtoolinbetweenthethebuttonsribboncableandthevolumebutton.

Pushthevolumeoutofitsrecessinthefrontpanelassembly.

Liftandremovethevolumebuttonoutofthephone.

Step31

Wedgetheflatedgeofaplasticopeningtoolinbetweenthetheearpiece/buttons/ambientlightsensorribboncableandrunitdowntoloosentheadhesivesecuringtheribboncable.

Step32

Graspandremovetheearpiece/buttons/ambientlightsensorribboncableoutofthephone.

Step33

Useametalspudgertocarefullypeeltheantennaboardoffthefrontpanelassembly.

Liftandremovetheantennaboardoutofthephone.

Step34

Pushthepowerbuttonoutofitsrecessinthefrontpanelassembly.

Removethepowerbuttonfromthefrontpanelassembly.

Step35

Usethetipofaspudgertoprythevibratoroutofitsrecessinthefrontpanelassembly.

Step36

Usethetipofaspudgertopeelthevibratorassemblyoffthefrontpanelassembly.

Toreassembleyourdevice,followtheseinstructionsinreverseorder.

Step37

Liftandremovethevibratoroutofthefrontpanelassembly.

Step38

Frontpanelassemblyremains.

Ifyouarereplacingthefrontpanelassemblywithanewone,don'tforgettotransferallthepartsyouremovedtoyournewfrontpanelassembly.
