Meet Moana: the new Disney Polynesian princess!Forget the Nordic princesses of Frozen. Moana hails from Polynesia and is all set for a tropical ocean adventure in 2016.

Prepare to go about 2,000 years back in time way before Europeans like the British navigator Captain James Cook set sail in the South Pacific, looking for new land.In the upcoming computer-animated film Moana, well meet a fiercely brave princess whos able to navigate the ocean by herself. Disney describes the movie as a mythic adventure set across a series of islands set across the

South Pacific.Moana is the only daughter of a chief in a long line of navigators and will set off on a marine adventure, calling on the help of demigods and spirits from traditional Polynesian culture.Though we dont know which mystical deities Moana will summon, some possibilities are Pele, the goddess of volcanoes, her older sister Namaka, the water spirit, and the fire god Lono-makua.For supporting characters, theres a whole ocean of possibilities. Moana may befriend an orca or another type of dolphin. Wed like to see a singing octopus or even a dancing sea horse. Were betting that at some point, Moana will have a shark encounter, creating high-stakes drama for the young princess. Its possible that Disney could go against stereotype and create a shark character thats not vicious, but rather some type of ally for the princess

It is an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes unlikely friends with a human. On the cast is Raymond Ochoa, Jeffrey Wright, Steve Zahn, and Anna Paquin.

What an incredible cast Jon Favreau has pulled together for his retelling of the much loved childrens classic. Featuring the voices of Scarlett Johansson, Idris Elba, Ben Kingsley, Lupita Nyongo, Christopher Walken and Bill Murray, and introducing new face Neel Sethi as our live-action Mowgli, you already know that this is going to be one film not to miss. So far, it seems that Favreau and writers Rudyard Kipling and Justin Marks have remained faithful to the original story but we know that theyll have a couple of tricks up their sleeves. cant wait.

Almost 14 years later and 5 films in, the franchise is set to end with the 5th and final chapter Ice Age: Collision Course, picking up where it left off in the last film This time, our friends Manny, Sid and Diego will have to overcome all odds after Scrat, once again, causes a catastrophe of epic proportions. Its great to see this classic story being given a new lease of life and its sure to be followed by other film adaptations from this era.

Kid tv and film experts Dorhn and Mitchell team up to bring none other than the world of Trolls to life. This is not a live-action like nearly all of the other films on this list but rather a musical animation based on the big-haired dolls of the 1960s and 1990s. It already sounded like fun to us but then we learned that Anna Kendrick has been drafted in to play the relentlessly upbeat Princess Poppy for the Dreamworks film. But, thats the only details we have on it for now.

The god of the sea in Irish mythology is called Mac Lir. In the movie, Ben tells his sister stories of Mac Lirs adventures, and the sad face of this ancient deity can be seen entombed on an island near the childrens home. Looks creepy, huh?

Lets take a look at some of them... In case you werent aware, there is a new, computer-animated, 3D Peanuts

movie coming to theaters next November, and we now have the first significant look at the film, thanks to a trailer leaked 10 days early by Snoopy on Twitter. I put those words in quotes because of course an animated dog cant run a Twitter, and leaking the movie is just part of the films marketing hype. But all that matters is whats in the trailer, namely Snoopy, Woodstock, Linus, Lucy, Charlie Brown, and the rest of the Peanuts gang. Here are 5 things you need to know about the film itself.

1. Its Computer Animated, and will be in 3DIn an effort to modernize the Peanuts aesthetic, the film will be computer animated and in 3D, but will retain the hand-drawn look of the classic cartoon thanks to careful rendering by Blue Sky Animation, who also handled the hand-drawn to computer transition for 2008s Dr. Seuss adaptation Horton Hears a Who.

2. There will be pop musicThough the trailer opens with the classic Peanuts theme by compose Vince Guaraldi, the tunes quickly transition to a pop song as Snoopys alter-ego the Red Baron flies his doghouse/fighter plane perilously close to the Eiffel Tower. This might be the most distressing part of the trailer for classical music enthusiasts, but hopefully it will be done right.

3. The film is By Schulz (but not Charles)In the final shot of the trailer, the title screen mentions the film is by Schulz. This doesnt mean that the strips creator Charles Sparky Schulz had anything to do with the film, but his son Craig and grandson Bryan are producers. And in case you were worried that Sparkys lack of involvement means the new film will be a modernized monstrosity


4. There will be no twerkingIn an interview with USA Today, Peanuts producer Paul Feig assured readers Peanuts would concentrate on what made the comic strip and its associated cartoon shorts timelessProducer Paul Feig promises that Charlie Brown wont twerk, wear a baseball cap backwards or try to break the Internet a la Kim Kardashian.I dont think his butts big enough, Feig says with a laugh.

5. Peanuts is scheduled to Hit Theaters November 6, 2015So you have over a year to worry about whether the new film will live up to the lofty expectations set by A Charlie Brown Christmas or Its the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. In the meantime, lets just be happy for something with Snoopy in it that isnt a MetLife commercial.
