Nelson Gonzalez – is a native New Yorker. Raised in Bayamon, Puerto Rico he learned to love and appreciate food, which is long-time tradition and right of passage. Nelson is an honors graduate from the New York Restaurant School with a specialized concentration in culinary arts and restaurant management. Combined with 30 years experience working in the restaurant industry throughout the New York tri-state area and Puerto Rico, along with his passion for Latino culture, is what inspired him to create and promote Sofrito Magazine.
