The Author Shibu c.p is a post graduate in M.COM and

Computer Application from Kerala University. He has

been studying and teaching in the field of Vedic

that the subject mathematics has been a hard nut to crack

for many. The purpose of this book is to get rid of this

fear and replace it with not only love but attraction for

this king of all subjects. There is no doubt about the fact

that this book will be a great consolation for those who

are weak in this subject.

It is my great pleasure to introduce a book on

math tricks. The Speed Math and Vedic Maths

techniques described in this book make mathematical

operations simple and rapid. Based on ancient Vedic

techniques, these methods use simple formulae to do

high speed math calculations. Mathematical operations

which normally take several steps and a long time to do,

now become possible in a single step, where you can

write the answer in a single line, often in a matter of few

seconds.

The tricks using in this book are easier and

faster; sometimes even faster than the computer. Those

Rule

Step 1: 215 x 10 = 2150 (multiply by 10)

Trick #06

MULTIPLY BY 10, 100, 1000, 10000 etc

Rule

When a number is multiplied by 10, one zero is

placed to the extreme right of the multiplicand

When 100, two zeros are placed.

When 1000, three zeros are placed.

When 10000, four zeros are placed and so on.

Note : When multiplying a decimal number by 10 , 100 , 1000 etc, move the decimal point to the right

side by the same number of places as there are

zeros.

Examples:-

456 x10 = 4560

789 x 100 = 78900

4487 x 1000 = 4487000

56789 x 10000 = 567890000

25.7 x 100 = 2570 (Shift the decimal point
