On 21st June 2017, all of us celebrated the Yoga Day together. All of us in the Samarth Family were present in big numbers and performed Yogasanas in the esteemed presence of the expert. Since all of us work with a view to spreading happiness, we should understand how Yoga can help us in living our lives happily. The simple meaning of Yoga is ‘to unite’. Here the queson is, “What to unite?” The answer is we have to unite the scaered aspects of our personalies. There are three aspects of our lives. The work which we physically do, the mental process of our thinking and the various impulses or feelings that our heart experiences. Generally it so happens that we go through our work mechanically and other thoughts keep crowding on our minds. For example, while driving a vehicle, we keep on using brake or accelerator but at the same me our thoughts keep wondering in some other direcon and this has been one of the major causes of an accident! Working in this manner would not give us any kind of sasfacon and moreover, the work would also suffer. While performing Yogasanas, we focus on various body postures and the condion of our breathing and by following this, our mind would get trained to be focused only on what our body does. Our impulses would gain some steadiness and gradually our thoughts and impulses would have affinity. Aſter this, our body and mind would be beaufully in sync with each other and there would naturally emerge a kind of feeling of doing any work that we do, in the best possible manner. This would happily eventuate into the best quality work and the result that was predetermined or preconceived by us. We witness an enhancement in the quality of work that we do or perform and also feel a sense of job sasfacon. We start enjoying good health and also feel mental peace. Hence, it is rightly said in the Bhagvad Gita – Yogah Karmasu Kaushalam! When we are in buoyant health, there is a phase of good qualitave work, healthy relaons and mental peace. There is an eternal presence of happiness all around us! When the enre world is benefing from the Yogasanas, our able workers would naturally not lag behind!

Here the question is, “What to unite?” The answer is we have to unite the scattered aspects of our personalities.

There are three aspects of our lives. The work which we physically do, the mental process of our thinking and the various impulses or feelings that our heart experiences.

Generally it so happens that we go through our work mechanically and other thoughts keep crowding on our minds. For example, while driving a vehicle, we keep on using brake or accelerator but at the same time our thoughts keep wondering in some other direction and this has been one of the major causes of an accident!

Working in this manner would not give us any kind of satisfaction and moreover, the work would also suffer. While performing Yogasanas, we focus on various

body postures and the condition of our breathing and by following this, our mind would get trained to be focused only on what our body does. Our impulses would gain some steadiness and gradually our thoughts and impulses would have affinity.

After this, our body and mind would be beautifully in sync with each other and there would naturally emerge a kind of feeling of doing any work that we do, in the best possible manner. This would happily eventuate into the best quality work and the result that was predetermined or preconceived by us.

We witness an enhancement in the quality of work that we do

or perform and also feel a sense of job satisfaction. We start enjoying good health and also feel mental peace. Hence, it is rightly said in the Bhagvad Gita – Yogah Karmasu Kaushalam!

When we are in buoyant health, there is a phase of good qualitative work, healthy relations and mental peace. There is an eternal presence of happiness all around us! When the entire world is benefitting from the Yogasanas, our able workers would naturally not lag behind! Let’s be happy with a regular study of Yoga and show to others also the path of Yoga to be happy.

IntegrityGenerally to us, the meaning of the word ‘integrity’

is ‘honesty’ and it is more interpreted in the context of monetary aspects. However, the meaning of the word ‘integrity’ is in a very large perspective according to the dictionary. The meaning also includes reliability, truth and understanding.

In Samarth Family, we are committed to certain particular values and hence, the meaning of the values which inspires and teaches us to live and lead our routine life in the right manner is useful to us. In this context, for us integrity means 'commitment'.

For us, the sense of responsibility towards each of your promises is very important. For example, if you have committed to submit the report at 4 o’clock, you must make sure that you submit it at that time.

After reading this, one may feel that this is more about Time Management.

But Time Management is a part of integrity only. One shouldn’t say, “I will complete this work”; instead he should say, “I will complete this work within one day.” There are two points about a particular work mentioned in it. One is about the completion of work and the other is about completing that work within a given frame of time.

With integrity, you can manage your work truthfully. What is referred to or talked about is what is only ‘within the zone of possibility’ and one has to put ‘all his abilities’ to work.

Historically, we have numerous examples of integrity. The principle of Total Commitment was followed by a royal prince and we worship him as Lord Shri Rama.

Reading of the oath which has been imbibed from our constitution is a part of every school but since the value of ‘integrity’ is not taught in most of the schools, that oath or pledge remains limited only to nothing else but mechanical reading!

It is mentioned in that oath, “I love my country. All the Indians are my brothers and sisters.” If the value of ‘integrity’ is taught in every school, corruption can be eradicated from our country since no one would cheat his or her brothers or sisters.

We have to focus on two things to live the value of integrity:

The values of your own 1. (focus on your behavior)The words of your own 2. (focus on your pronunciation)

Fortunately, we have collectively accepted to carry out all our actions and dealings and live largely three values (Growth, Relationship, Excellence) and total twelve values in a simple way. Hence, one has to be crystal clear about what one wants to say i.e. whether what he wants to say is in tune with these twelve values or not. He needs to ask himself whether he would be able to act upon and in accordance with the words spoken by him. Here ‘living’ means a combination or synchronisation of your action, thought and impulse.

That is, one has to ask oneself whether he or she has an affinity among his mind, words and action or not. If one has it, one’s personality will evolve in such a manner that one would naturally act in sync with what one says. One would naturally have thoughts which in turn would support the words one says.

By asking the following words repeatedly, one can achieve perfection in his or her value of ‘integrity’: Will my words/actions/thoughts/feelings...

Increase the 1. happiness? Lead to 2. development of myself, my colleagues and my institute? Make our 3. relations satisfactory? Turn the processes, actions and 4. results into excellence? Increase my 5. faith? Strengthen the 6. truth? Evolve a sense of 7. responsibility? Maintain the 8. respect towards the people affiliated to my work? Keep me 9. punctual?Maintain 10. cleanliness at the workplace?Maintain the 11. orderliness at the workplace? Increase the 12. quality of all the processes and all the productions?

These questions will make us conscious before speaking any words.

Let’s come together to be committed to create an identity as the Samarth Diamond Family living with integrity. Commitment to stick to your promise!

Previously, we have discusses about three steps. Today, we are going to discuss about the fourth step ‘Greed and Wealth can never go hand in hand’.

Today everyone wants to be wealthy but there are some who want to become rich and wealthy overnight and that too by hook or by crook. This mentality may sometimes put you in such a precarious condition that you may even have to lose your hard earned money.

We have a proverb meaning 'As long as there would be greed, cheater won't starve'.

To create wealth, it is very important that one must not take any haphazard decisions pursuing any kind of greed or temptation. We often read news which mentions about many people who get trapped in some fraudulent chit fund schemes or online draw and lose their hard earned money.

The implementation of the fundamental principles of investment is very important to become wealthy. Never invest all your earnings in any one source but invest your income in various media of investment. When one gets trapped into the net of greed, he invests all that he has earned in a single medium of investment and repents when his calculations go wrong.

Be it Share Market, Real Estate Market or Bullion Market, investors always invest during the bullish time i.e. when the market is high and then find themselves trapped. The main cause responsible for this situation is nothing but greed.

Daniel Kahneman, a psychologist from Israel, and Nobel Prize winner in the year 2002 for his work on ‘Psychologies of Judgment and Decision making and Behavioral Economics’, believes that financial market is such an activity where a human-being can’t isolate himself from a particular group.

An investor knows that market is not under the leash or control of anybody but he starts thinking and believing that he is special

and he would be able to control market and earn. Greediness provokes such thoughts and eventually the result is not in his favor.

While deciding to invest in a particular medium, it is important to contemplate about the risk involved in that investment rather than focusing solely on the aspect of the expected income. It is not a negative mentality to think

about the risk factors. When you achieve your desired target after taking risks, it is very

important that you should divert yourself to a safer medium of investment with lower amount of risk involved.

For example, Mr. Atul invested in Mutual Funds to earn Rs. 20,00,000

within a span of 20 years. Now if he is likely to achieve his desired target well within

20 years, he should not be greedy and convert his investment into any medium with lower amount of risk involved. In such a situation, greed would entice and encourage you to continue till the term of 20 years is over as you may get more and enjoy a lavish and luxurious life later on but if the market collapses, you may not even be able to achieve your originally desired target of Rs. 20,00,000.

The experts of the market always talk about Stop-Loss, but trapped in greed, investors pay no heed to it and repent in the end. 05

Greed And Wealth Can Never Go Together

To create wealth, it is

very important that one must not take

any haphazard decisions.

On June 21, 2017, the ‘World Yoga Day’, a grand Yoga Treatment and Meditation Camp was organised for the employees of the company and their family members at the Vishal Party Plot, Visnagar by Samarth Diamond with the cooperation of Gujarat Labor Welfare Board.

More than 2500 people participated in this programme enthusiastically and practiced yoga and meditation.

The Honorable Chairman of the Gujarat Labor Welfare Board and the member of the Indian Minority Commission, Mr. Sunil Singhi, the Commissioner of the Gujarat Labor Welfare Board Mr. H. D. Rahul and the partners of Samarth Diamond Mr. Dineshbhai Patel and Mr. Govindbhai Patel were present at the programme.

On the occasion, the Yoga Experts explained the physical and mental advantages of the Yoga and Meditation activities and participants were encouraged to take the oath to follow the yoga and meditation activities regularly.

When Samarth Diamond organised the ‘Employment Oriented Women’s Conference – 2017’ at Visnagar on April 27, 2017, it received a very encouraging response.

More than 1100 aspirant women attended this conference with their family members.

About 800 employment forms had been submitted at the place itself well before the commencement of the programme and the flow of submission of forms at the office of Samarth Diamond is still on.

This conference was organised so that women become self-reliant and live in the society with their heads held high. The women are given a chance to work at a special Women's Diamond Unit "Narayani Gems" and earn Rs. 6,000/- to Rs. 18,000/- (Cost to Company) per month.

This initiative will also enable women to strengthen the financial condition of their families.

A Book, Developing the Perspectives of Life

Harishchandra is a precious ornament of the Gujarati Literature. In the book series called 'Vinela Phool', each of the stories that he has written is so easy that all from children to the old can easily grasp it. These stories develop quite a different perspective for us.

The first story talks about the house of our imagination. We feel extreme joy when we buy a new house and when we step in, it feels new but that house has become a shelter for many laborers well before it became our house.

The second story is about the eagerness of our ‘Karma’. When we retire, we feel as if we have retired from our lives and it is reflected through our approach towards our work. What if such an approach is witnessed before retirement?

It is believed that a human-being can’t do without his family or other people who have been a part of his life, but one yearns for some loneliness or privacy in a monotonous and long life. We too have a keen desire for such loneliness or privacy. This book has such a story as describes the value of such loneliness.

In the story of a rich owner and a laborer, the disparity between the poor and the rich and also the shattering of the

dreams of the laborer’s son has been described.

There is a story of a writer, who writes and describes very good thoughts but doesn’t put those into practice. To abolish the female feticide, he says that every rich man should adopt a girl child but ironically, he becomes disturbed when an adopted girl enters his house.

The other story is about the old parents. The son and the daughter-in-law feel that their parents are enjoying at home hardly knowing or realizing how difficult it is for them to prepare tiffins and taking care of their grandchildren.

There is also a story about love and marriage which proves our belief wrong. A husband living abroad divorces his second wife after 16 years and returns to his country where his first wife rejects him.

A mother has four sons who are all great officers but when the mother dies none

Shri Vandanaben Prajapati

of them remains present at the funeral ceremony. This is really a pathetic incident!

One of the stories narrates the h e l p l e s s n e s s of a woman. Her husband treats her like a machine and finds fault with everything that she does for her. It emphasizes on the importance of deep understanding between a husband and a wife.

This book is an effort to spread many such emotions and beliefs. While reading all such incidents or anecdotes we knowingly or unknowingly relate those to our lives.

Real greatness lies in identifying our strengths and weaknesses and in that sense, this book teaches great lessons in a nutshell. The effort of the author to bring to light the serious subjects of life and that too in our language and dialect is really commendable.

Some books introduces deep meanings of life to us. Shri Vandanaben Somabhai Prajapati, working in the Mathala Kapan Weight Balance, Unit-1 share one such book with us.
