Humanitarian• Aside from SOHH, SAA
Chapter is involved with numerous screenings throughout the year
• The goal is to establish screening sites that we can return to at regular intervals for follow-up
• We are also working towards becoming involved in humanitarian efforts at home and abroad
Community• We strive to keep
members actively engaged within our own community
• Implemented mentorship program such that each incoming student will have at least one upperclassmen showing them the ropes
Advocacy
Education• We strive to invite guest speakers to
come speak to students whenever possible
• Topics span the spectrum of audiology; from cleft palates to counseling strategies, interviewing skills to hearing aid technology etc.
• Presentations and recordings are made available to all members via Google group and our Blog
