MADCAP MARDI GRAS MAGIC

ON SALT RIVER!

MESA, ARIZ (July 12, 2015)---Zydeco Bounce line dancing? Mardi Gras floats? FREE Mardi Gras beads? All of these and more are being offered at Salt River Tubing's Madcap Mardi Gras Magic event on Saturday, August 22nd, 9:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.! Travel the road to northeast Mesa and experience a one of a kind adventure in the great outdoors of Tonto National Forest and celebrate fifteen years of Mardi Gras Magic on the Lower Salt River! The event is Salt River Tubing's longest running costume-themed event and thousands of tubers attend each year. Salt River Tubing headquarters is located just minutes from the 202 East loop highway, exit 23A, on north Power Road.

"Let the Good Times Roll" on the rocking Salt River rapids and enjoy a Cajun floating picnic adventure. The cost of tube rental is $17.00 per person or tube which includes inner tube rental and shuttle bus service. The good times will be rocking as flamboyantly-costumed river employees toss FREE Mardi

Gras beads and doubloons while the Zydeco Bounce line dancers wow the crowds. Invited exhibitors include Monster Beverage Company and the Maricopa County Attorney's Office-Community Affairs Team. Purple, green and gold are the colors of the day so paint your face or don a mask and dangle those Mardi Gras beads. FREE tubing passes and Limited Edition Mardi Gras Magic t-shirts will be awarded for Best Tuber Costumes and event contests. The Mardi Gras Magic event, co-sponsored by KKFR Power 98.3 radio and Salt River Tubing, is aligned with the USDA Forest Service’s “More Kids in the Woods” commitment in meeting the challenge of reduced youth involvement in outdoor activities. The program was expressly designed to encourage efforts to get kids and teens outdoors.

weather and water flow permitting. The cost of tube rental is $17.00 per person/tube which includes sales tax, inner tube rental and shuttle bus service. One valid Driver’s License is required for every 5 tubes rented as a security deposit. Salt River Tubing accepts Cash only. Children must be at least eight

years or older and 4 feet tall for tubing and shuttle bus service. Life vests should be worn by children, non-swimmers and inexperienced swimmers. Glass containers are NOT allowed in the Lower Salt River Recreational Area. Ice chests/coolers will be checked for glass containers and glass containers will be confiscated. Please bring plastic or can beverage containers. Have a great time while visiting the Lower Salt River! Responsibly appoint a designated driver BEFORE your tubing adventure. Drugs, alcohol and the Salt River do not mix –Just don’t do it! Salt River Tubing operates under permit of the USDA Forest Service and is located in Tonto National Forest, Mesa, Arizona.
