While creating my map and gathering data, I noticed that the Salt Lake County Park and Recreation website had many maps already created. Therefore, I chose to think outside the box and display outdoor recreation areas available to the peopleof Salt Lake County.I purpose people would not think of many of the areas I found on a daily basis as place to venture to for recreation. Many county operated parks are located centrally in down town in Salt Lake CityShortfall:More prospects for county operated facilities in the West side of the valley .There are Numerousclose campgrounds with in Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons and also Millcreek Canyon .

FOREST AREAS There are many areas of outdoor recreation in Salt Lake County that are free and accessible to the public. There is opportunity for expansion in the future and some projects currently in progress.
