Pendleton Together Impact Report

Since becoming the preferred partner there has been no sitting down and no hanging around. The Pendleton Together partnership was announced in April 2012 and we have been making a difference within Pendleton since day one.

Apply for Funding from The Community Piggy Bank

Do you live, work or receive education in Broughton or Ordsall? How will you spend £15,000 in your community?

Greater Manchester Police have funding available to support any project, group or community in the Ordsall and Broughton area and YOU decide who the money goes to. Anyone wanting funding needs to complete an application form and prepare a short two minute pitch for the event where the community will vote on who gets their share of funding.

Application forms will be available on 1st December 2014 via email or post and also from the following locations: Pendleton Police Station Meryick Road, M6 5JA Broughton Hub, 50 Rigby Street, M7 4BQ

Oakwood Youth Club have created a new brand, which they are about to launch.

In future the club will be known as YOU CAN community club. The new brand will give the club a stronger identity and help the club's community development aims.

Homophobic, biphobic and transphobic (HBT) bullying grants

Through the HBT bullying grants we want to to build schools’ knowledge and capacity to prevent and tackle homophobic bullying more effectively. The GEO and DfE have outlined suggestions for activities it wishes to fund in five areas identified in the HBT bullying specification of requirements document. Bids can be made specifically in support of one, or more, of these suggested areas. The suggested areas are outlined here.

This deadline is for... 12 noon 3rd December 2014 for receipt of grant applications

Welfare reform workshops - new dates, last few places

Kidscan - Events Fundraiser

We are looking for an experienced fundraiser to take up a key role within the fundraising team, and grow the charity’s income. Kidscan wants to build on its recent growth and develop its income streams across Greater Manchester to ensure the ongoing sustainability of the charity locally and expand its reach nationally. We require a highly motivated candidate with significant fundraising experience to organise, manage and evaluate our events programme. Experience of managing sponsored events and dealing with supporters is essential. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel. Experience of using CRM systems is advantageous but not essential.

Big Life Enterprises - Employment Key-worker

Key-workers will be responsible for supporting clients in their journey towards employment including ongoing support once a job is achieved. You will work with clients for up to 2 years whilst they are out of work and for up to 12 months once they find employment. You will provide 1:1 interventions using motivational interviewing and a programme of personalised employability and in-work-support for which full training will be provided.
