OUR STORY

MADERA (mah-deh-rah), which means “wood” in Spanish, TEX MEX BBQ & TAP was born from the need for all-wood smoked, Texas-style BBQ in Indiana.

After several boondoggles to Texas (by the way, a boondoggle is “a work or activity that is wasteful or pointless but gives the appearance of having value,”) we hope to prove that our “business trips” were anything but boondoggles. Our product of real wood, slow-smoked BBQ and handmade flour tortillas should speak for themselves.

We hope you enjoy your experience of TEX MEX BBQ as much as we enjoyed all of our boondoggles to Texas.
