Sakkara – the pentagon-bead

Take care of tension!

Round 1: String on 5B. Make a circle and go through all beads again.

Round 2: Weave in 5 A. NOT like regular peyote. Each bead goes in between (not over) each of the 5B beads in first round. Step up through 1st A bead.

Round 3: Increase round. (From now on it´s peyote stitch.) 2A between each bead of 2nd round. Step up through 1st A bead.

Round 4: *1B between the 2A of round 3. 1A on top of A from round 2* Repeat from * to * 4 more times. Step up through 1st B of this round.

Round 5: 1A between beads of previous round. Step up.

Round 6: 1A, 1B between beads. B on top of B of round 4. In this round the Sakkara bead changes from flat to threedimensional. So it is very important to keep the tension. Step up.

Round 7: 1 A between beads of previous round. Step up.

Round 8: Increase row. *2 A on top of B of 6th round. 1A on top of A of previous round.* Repeat from * to * 4 more times. Step up through first A bead.

Round 9: *1B between 2 increase beads of previous round. 1A, 1A* Repeat from * to * 4 more times. Step up through B bead.

Round 10: 1A between beads of previous round. Step up.

Round 11: *1A, 1A, 1B* repeat 4 more times.

Round 12: 1A between beads of previous round. Step up.

Round 13: Increase round. *A, 2A (on top of B from round 11), A* Repeat from * to * 4 more times. Step up.

Round 14: *1A, 1B (between 2 added A of previous round), 1A, 1A* Repeat from * to * 4 more times. Step up.

Round 15: 1A between beads of previous round. Step up.

Round 16: *1B, 1A, 1A, 1A* Repeat from * to * 4 more times. Step up through B.

Round 17: 1A between beads of previous round. Step up.

Round 18: Decrease round. *1A, 1A, 1A, thread through 2 corner beads (A before B and A after A) and pull tight to close corner.* Repeat from * to * 4 more times. Step up.

Round 19: *1A, 1A, 1B (in open corner from previous round).* Repeat from * to * 4 more times. Step up.

Round 20: 1A between beads of previous round. Step up.

Round 21: *1A, 1B, 1A* Repeat from * to * 4 more times. Step up.

Round 22: 1A between beads of previous round. Step up.

Round 23: Decrease round. Thread through next A to close corner like in round 18. *1A, 1A and again thread through 2 corner beads and pull tight.* Repeat from * to * 4 more times. At the end of this round thread again through first 2 A beads of this round. Step up.

Round 24: *1A, 1B (in open corner from previous round).* Repeat from * to * 4 more times. Step up.

Round 25: 1A between beads of previous round. Step up.

Round 26: *1B, 1A* Repeat from * to * 4 more times. Step up.

Round 27: 1A between beads of previous round. Step up.

Round 28: Decrease round. *1A, then thread through both corner beads like in other decrease rounds before.* Repeat from * to * 4 more times. Step up.

Round 29: 1B between beads of previous round. To stabilize go through all 5 beads of round 28 twice.
