Moisture Control Certificate of Completion This Moisture Control Technician Certificate will show you how dampness can invade a building — and help you prevent and correct moisture problems in your residential construction projects.

5 easy steps to register Academic policies and procedures

Students are responsible for familiarizing themselves with SAIT’s Academic Regulations and Refund Policies. Visit sait.ca/policy.

Cancellations

SAIT reserves the right to limit registration, cancel, postpone or combine courses, alter course content, dates or times, and substitute instructors. Full refunds will be issued with cancelled courses.

Refund eligibility

To cancel your registration and be eligible for a refund, you must submit notice by email, mail, fax, by phone or in person to the Office of the Registrar. In all cases, there will be a minimum $50 administrative fee.

• Continuing education courses: For courses of 18 hours or longer, notice is required no later than 4 pm prior to the second scheduled class. For seminars and short courses less than 18 hours total, notice is required three full business days prior to the class starting.

• Distance education courses: Notice of course cancellation must be received before 25% of the original course time has elapsed in order for a student to receive a tuition refund.

How to register

à STEP 1: Select your courses or part-time program

Continuing Education courses can be taken individually or as part of a certificate, diploma or applied degree program. Browse this guide to find the courses you want to take.

Next, visit our online calendar at sait.ca to search by category or keyword to find the course registration details.

à STEP 2: Check the prerequisites

Some courses have mandatory prerequisites to ensure you have the required background knowledge to be successful. You must complete or receive credit for the prerequisite before registering in your course. If you have questions regarding course prerequisites please contact the School of Construction.

à STEP 3: Ready, set, register!

Use your Visa or MasterCard to register online, anywhere and anytime. Contact the Office of the Registrar to register over the phone or in-person. Payment is due at the time of registration.

After your course registration is processed by the Office of the Registrar, you will receive a confirmation email with additional information within three business days.

If you already have a SAIT student ID number, you can login to your mySAIT account to check your schedule.

If you are a new student, you will receive your SAIT student ID number with your confirmation email.

à STEP 5: Submit a program declaration or part-time application (if applicable)

If you intend to complete a program, submit a Program Declaration form to the Office of the Registrar. This will be indicated on your academic transcript, making it easier to monitor your progress and check your graduation requirements through your mySAIT account.

Some programs will require you to submit a part-time application through ApplyAlberta. Visit sait.ca for more information.

After you have completed all the courses in your program, you may submit a Credential Request form.

Online courses allow students to learn independently at home with the guidance of an instructor. All courses have a start and end date.

Open registration courses start the day your registration is processed.

Transfer credit

Students can apply for transfer credit from previous post-secondary education (university/college) courses or related work experience. This paid assessment service is offered to all SAIT students.
