The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. “God, our Father, who by sending into the world the Word of truth and the Spirit of sanctification made known to the human race your wondrous mystery, grant us, we pray, that in professing the true faith, we may acknowledge the Trinity of eternal glory and adore your Unity, powerful in majesty.” A beautiful opening prayer to our Mass this weekend and certainly we could reflect on it for the rest of our lives and not fully comprehend this mystery. It is said that Thomas Aquinas, the great theologian, experienced a glimpse of God in a vision. The vision revealed God to him so profoundly that he immediately set about destroying every book he’d written because they fell so short of describing the awesomeness of God. With this in mind, I make this simple observa-tion of how God has worked in my life. It is simply a love story in three parts. I first encountered God’s love in the beauty of the world that he created for me to play in and discover as a child. After I came to know Jesus, I gained a new insight into the depth of God’s love for me as I reflected on the sacrifice He made to draw me into a deeper relationship with Him. Fi-nally, like a loving parent, God knew I wouldn’t make it alone so He sent the Holy Spirit to fill me with the wisdom and knowledge to choose the path that leads always to God. Praise you, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, for revealing to me the goal and purpose of my life: to become One with you! Deacon David

Parish Holy Hour The Diocese is planning a Weekend of Prayer for Vocations on the first weekend of June, as we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. The Vocations Action Team has asked every parish in the diocese to set aside time

during that first weekend for a special time of prayer for vocations to the priesthood in our diocese. Our parish is inviting all parishioners to join in prayer from 10:00am—11:00am on Saturday, June 2, the typical time for ordinations in our diocese. You can pray from your own home or wherever you happen to be located. If you would like to receive a reminder of the time and the intention, please download the APP. You will receive a reminder on your phone. You can also use your phone to ‘live stream’ from

the parish website and view the Tabernacle at Mary Queen of Peace during this holy hour.
