Retirement Fund for Religious Collection
December 12th & 13th
Make a difference. “Every dollar makes a difference in
covering our expenses,” say a Trappist abbot.
Hundreds of US religious communities struggle to
provide for aging members because most senior
Catholic sisters, brothers, and religious order priests
served for little pay. Your gift to the Retirement Fund
for Religious helps these communities bridge the gap,
offering support for medications, nursing care, and
other necessities. Please be generous.

Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most
Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I
desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at
this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least
spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were
already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never
permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.

CHRISTMAS FLOWERS
Our tradition here at St. Thomas’ is to decorate the
Altar and church with beautiful Poinsettia Flowers as
we celebrate the Birth of Our Lord.
The Poinsettia Flowers are known as “Flowers of the
Holy Night”. The shape of the poinsettia flower and
leaves are sometimes thought to be a symbol of the
Star of Bethlehem which led the Wise Men to Jesus.
The red colored petals symbolize the blood of Christ.
All parishioners and visitors are invited to make a
donation IN MEMORY (deceased) or IN HONOR of a
loved one. The envelope is included in the packet or
can be found at the entrances of the church. The
names of those To Be Remembered will be published
in the bulletin.

Please spread the word about your faith and our RCIA Process to your non- Catholic friends and those who are baptized but have not received the Sacraments. Classes take place every Tuesday, at 7pm in the Saint Seton Church Hall in Absecon. Social Distancing protocols will be adhered to for the safety of all.
