This Lent grow closer to Christ through a five-part video series. The Children's “Liturgy of the Word” dismissal is celebrated at the Sunday, 9 am Mass, through May 2020. The children are invited to hear the word proclaimed and explained at their level. They will rejoin their families at the time of the creed, to

continue the celebration of the Mass. All children are welcome. Parents are invited to join their children, especially those too young to dismiss alone.

Vocations ‘ Corner

Let us pray for those who devote their lives to vocational ministry; we pray that they will not stop throw-ing out nets in Christ’s name so that the Church would have the vocations it needs to fulfill its mission. Inspire

and help the priests who work in seminaries and houses of formation so that they can give the Church saints, doctors, martyrs, apostles and wit-nesses of Christ imbued with new missionary zeal for the new evangelization. Exciting News!

St. Rose has adopted a seminarian to assist him with our prayers and support during his educational process. His name is Victor Goranov. A little about Victor…his favorite devotion is the Jesus Prayer. His discernment to the priesthood first emerged out of being in the RCIA process learning about our faith, and learning about the “priest shortage” within the Church. That’s when he first came across the practice of discernment, which was previously unknown to him. He was born in Russia in 1991. He has a degree in history from UC Davis. In 2016, a few months prior to starting seminary, Victor lived an A.C.T.S. retreat; which he states, “was a holy experience”. He is attending year two of Theology at St. Patrick's Seminary in Menlo Park and appreciates our prayers.

St. Rosa ha adoptado un seminarista para ayudarlo con nuestrasoraciones y apoyo durante su proceso ducativo. Se llama Victor Goranov. Un poco sobre Víctor ... su devoción favorita es la oración de Jesús. Su discernimiento al sacerdocio surgió primero de estar en el roceso de RICA aprendiendo acerca de nuestra fe y aprendiendo acerca de la "escasez de sacerdotes" dentro de la Iglesia. Fue entonces cuando se encontró por primera vez con la práctica del discernimiento, que antes era desconocido para él. Nació en Rusia en 1991. Es licenciado en historia por UC Davis. En 2016, unos meses antes de comenzar el seminario, Victor vivió un Retiro de A.C.T.S. que él afirma, "fue una experiencia sagrada". Asiste en el segundo año de Teología en el Seminario de San Patricio en Menlo Park y aprecia nuestras oraciones.

The Gabriel Project Needs You! Many women faced with crisis pregnancies are abandoned by their families, the fathers of their babies and their communities. More and more, they are poor and in their teens. Some are homeless. Most feel afraid. For too many reasons, abortion seems the only answer. Churches and pro-life service groups have sought ways to

expand their embrace of women in crisis pregnancies. Now comes a way they can do so together ... a way to combine the special power of prayer with a commitment to service - The Gabriel Project!

The Gabriel Project is a church-based outreach whose volunteers offer assistance to women and families facing difficult or crisis pregnancies. Participating churches will "advertise" this commitment by placing a "Sign of Hope", with its "800" number Helpline, which assures any woman that the local Christian community cares for her and is prepared to offer immediate and practical help with her pregnancy. Callers to the Helpline are referred to the nearest appropriate church coordinator. The coordinator and the church volunteers - “Angels”- work with local community resources to meet the mother's needs.

El Proyecto de Gabriel Le Necesita! Muchas mujeres que afrontan crisis de embarazos son abandonadas por sus familias, los padres de sus bebés y sus comunidades. Cada vez más, son pobres y adolescentes. Algunos están sin hogar. La mayoría sienten miedo. Por muchas razones, el aborto parece ser la única respuesta. Las iglesias y los grupos de servicio de pro-vida han buscado

formas para expandir y acoger a estas mujeres con crisis de embarazos. Ahora hay una forma que ellas pueden hacer juntos... una forma especial de combinar el poder de oración con el compromiso de servir - El Proyecto Gabriel! El Proyecto Gabriel es un proyecto de la iglesia cuyos voluntarios tienen el compromiso de ofrecer asistencia a las mujeres y a familias afrontando embarazos dificiles o de crisis. Las iglesias participantes “anunciaran” este compromiso colocando un "Signo de Esperanza", con su numero "800." Línea de ayuda lo cual reconforta a toda mujer que la comunidad cristiana local cuida de ella y está preparada a ofrecer ayuda practica e inmediata en su embarazo. Las personas que llaman a la “Línea de Ayuda” son referidas a el coordinador iglesia aproriado más cercano. El coordinador y los voluntarios iglesia -"Los Ángeles"- colaboran con la iglesia comunidad local y recursos comunales local que reunan las necesidades de la madre.
