You are invited to record the names of deceased family members and friends for whom you wish to have masses offered throughout November. The Remembrance Book is located in front of the Sanctuary. ALL HALLOWS EVE PARTY St. Patrick’s “All Hallows Eve Party” is Wednesday, October 31st. Join the fun from 6:00-8:00PM in the Parish Hall. Dress up as your favorite saint. If anyone can donate candy and piñatas please bring these items to the parish office by Friday, October 19th. HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION Thursday, November 1st is All Saints Day and is a Holy Day of Obligation. Mass times are 8:00AM (English), 5:30PM (English) and 7:00PM (Spanish). MASSES FOR ALL SOULS DAY Mass times for All Souls Day are: 8:00AM-English and 6:30PM-Bilingual. THE MERCY IN ACTION MINISTRY INVITES YOU “The devotion to the memory of the dead is one of the most beautiful expressions of the Catholic spirit.” -Pope St. John XXII- The Mercy In Action Ministry invites you to stop by the hall after all masses on Sunday, October 28th for dessert, fellowship and a 5 minute presentation on Purgatory. Please bring a framed picture of a loved one that has passes to display during our time together. All are welcome and we will have an activity for children. FRIDAY NOVEMBER 2nd-MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW Join us to commemorate all the faithful departed and to pray for the Holy Souls in Purgatory and for all our deceased family and friends. Plan on attending All Souls Day Mass, Friday, November 2nd. We will begin at 6:15 PM by praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Our Bilingual Mass will begin at 6:30PM with a candlelight procession through the cemetery directly following mass. —Why A Procession After All Souls Day Mass? That’s a good question! We are a pilgrim people and processions remind us that our Christian life is a constant movement toward God and our eternal home. We are blessed to have a cemetery near our church. It is a wonderful opportunity to invite children and grandchildren as we share in the beautiful beliefs and traditions of our Catholic Faith. CATECHISM We are so excited to have started the new year of Catechism. If anyone is still wondering about availability, please contact Teri by calling 209-838-3101 or emailing at [email protected] We only have a few spaces left in the program for our K-6th. Our Confirmation Program is full at this time.

RESPECT LIFE MINISTRY The Respect Life Ministry is participating in the Diocese-Wide Respect Life Month of October, by inviting everyone to come out between 8:00AM and 1:00PM on the five Tuesdays in October, at the abortion facility at 2030 Coffee Road, Modesto. We will witness to the sanctity of every human life by our prayerful presence, fasting, community outreach, and peaceful vigil. Sign-ups for an hour will be the weekend of October 6th and 7th after all Masses. Many lives will be changed and saved by your prayerful participation. JOIN THE ADULT CHOIR The beautiful season of Advent and Christmas is fast approaching. Say “YES” to God by praising Him in song with the talent He has given you by joining the choir! The Sacred Music of the Catholic Church is one of the greatest treasures of all time. Liturgical and Sacred Music fills your heart and soul with meaning and feeling mere words cannot express. It enhances your prayer. St. Paul in Collossians 3:16 writes: “Let the Word of God dwell in you richely…, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in you hearts go God.” St. Augustine says—”He who sings prayes twice.” St. Patrick’s Adult Choir meets Wednesday 6:30-8:00PM in the Music Ministry Room—You are invited! Ages 16 and up. ADORATION NEEDS YOU! ADORERS NEEDED! St. Peter Julian Eymard writes: “Every time we come into the presence of the Eucharist we may say: This precious Testament cost Jesus Christ His life.” Let us honor Our Lord and Savior in the Blessed Sacrament for His sufferings and death on the cross for our sins-an act of complete annihilation and boundless love.— The following hours are available: Sunday: 8:00AM, 1:00PM, 3:00PM; Monday: 5:00PM; Tuesday: 11:00AM, 6:00PM; Wednesday: 2:00PM.
