Please pray for peace in the Holy Land and in The Middle East.
Our Lady, Queen of Peace, pray for us.
Winter’s Here – Be Careful – While we are obliged as Catholics to attend Sunday Mass, the infirm and elderly have always been able to excuse themselves from this obligation if getting to church would be a serious risk to their health. This is why so many dioceses
televise Sunday Mass. If you are elderly or infirm, please do not take unnecessary risks during these days. If it is inclement outside, it is always best to remain in the safety of your home.
Through your support of
the 2015 Catholic Appeal,
we are able to bring the
Gospel message to life. If
you have yet to make a pledge to the 2015 Catholic
Appeal, please complete a pledge form available in
the back of the church or visit
www.bostoncatholicappeal.org.

also an accomplished musician, as we well came to
know, mastering both piano and organ. In addition to
his wonderful service among us, Chandler assisted at
many other Catholic and Protestant churches and Jewish
synagogues during his long and notable career. He also
served on the board of directors of the Methuen Memori-

organists. Chandler was buried from St. Mary Church in
Georgetown this past Tuesday. “Eternal rest grant unto
him, O Lord…”

During these difficult times, we remember those family members and friends in far away places. Let us lift in prayer the many women and men

PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS Lord Jesus Christ, Savior of the world, show forth, we beseech Thee, in Thy Church the Holy Spirit with whose power the apostles were so abundantly filled. We thank Thee for the
blessings bestowed upon the work of priests and religious; and we pray that Thou wilt add to the number of those who now pray, labor, and sacrifice themselves for Thy glory and the salvation of souls. Give them unselfish zeal for Thy glory. O good Jesus, give us more priests and religious after Thine own Heart! Amen.

“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. “Please spiritually adopt an unborn baby.”
Every day over 4,000 babies are killed by abortion. They have so little protection only the hand of God can end this massacre. Prayer is the best weapon to help them • the most effective. Say this prayer every day for nine months to save a baby’s life!
“Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life
of the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger
of abortion.”
Prayer of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen

Lenten Regulations on Fast and Abstinence – While all Catholics who are able are encouraged to embrace the penitential practices of abstinence and fasting during Lent, along with prayer and almsgiving, there are special regulations for fasting and abstinence. Abstinence: Catholics over 14 years of age are bound to the obligations of abstinence. Abstinence is to be observed on Ash Wednesday, the Fridays of Lent and Good Friday. On days of abstinence, meat may not be used at all. Fast: Catholics over 18 and up to the beginning of their sixtieth year are bound to the obligation of fasting. Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are the days of fasting. On these days, only one full meal is allowed. Two other meatless meals, sufficient to maintain strength, may be taken according to each one's needs, but together they should not equal another full meal. Eating between meals is not permitted, but liquids, including milk and fruit juices are allowed.
Baby Bottle to support the Pregnancy Care Center
The Baby Bottle Campaign is used to fund Pregnancy Care Center programs that provide help to women & men in crisis pregnancies with positive alternatives to abortion. We also provide sexual integrity education and post abortion recovery. This is your opportunity to partner with your local ‘home town mission’ to celebrate LIFE! These services are free and are supported by local churches, businesses and individuals.
Please take a bottle home, then, as a family, fill them with checks (made payable to PCC), cash or coins, and return them to the church no later than Saturday, March 28th or Sunday, March 29th. As you will see from the insert inside the bottle, you may list the name and address of a person you wish to honor. The PCC will send a special card to them showing that you have made a gift for life in their honor.
